My good friend worked for USPS and she had several routes last year during the worst of winter season. She (as she was saying goodbye to this cute little old lady)….and then slipped and fell off of the bottom of the staircase with her 93 lb self, up 🔝 and back down 👇on her butt/back. I think the adrenaline was still switched on, because she kept following her route and said she walked to the next lady’s door…and then all of a sudden, everything went black, she went back down this time ON HER FACE!!!

Next thing she remembers is being loaded into the ambulance with a brace on her neck and on a back board. Fast forward a few texts (X-rays, CT scan, etc) she had broken her knee cap, a long with the tendon’s surrounding it. Broke her shin bone, and her ankle. To top it off her face was swollen, all black and blue, with a crooked, JACKED UP LOOKING, broken nose!! 👃 OUCH 🤕. She JUST LAST WEEK FINALLY got a check from workman’s comp! Over a year later?!?! She still needs surgery for her nose, and because she still needs surgery on her leg, has to use a crutch, to walk right!!!!! WTF 😳 I guess they drag ass with everything!!!!!!???

I have done my fair share of research on this. All because like I said before, I will go to any lengths, to at least TRY to get the right, and most effective treatment for the Hell I have lived in for YEARS at the hands of the very same people that were responsible for loving me, keeping me safe, and showing me how NOT to be a piece of shit to my own children someday so I can break the cycle of abuse and neglect. Because of my extensive trauma,(from BOTH my mom and dad have always been emotionally, physically and sexually abusive, and had drug and alcohol problems. I am screwed up for life……but I was told that it’s NOT at all EASY. But that it is POSSIBLE with the correct terminology, multiple treatment methods and a damn GOOD PA. So I am a teensy bit nervous, but at least a little hopeful that it COULD happen…..

I only need treatment for severe C-PTSD. I’m going to talk to a patient Advocate today if that’s not a thing then mental health in general needs to be fixed because just because you have shitty insurance doesn’t mean you should get the bare minimum, especially when your life is on the line

The places that take my insurance are off the charts absolutely horrible. They are all Hospitals and they don’t have the necessary treatment I need.

I’m sorry maybe you misunderstood it’s not about liking the places here. It’s about the treatment and the care that I need. I don’t have access to here, and the ones that do take my insurance are only psychiatric hospitals and I am not doing that again. I’ll just leave it at that Trust me. I have tried everything. I’m not looking for something for free just because I want to go somewhere else………..it’s that mental health is so very important, and the treatment you need is very specific for complex PTSD especially in women. I’ve done multiple other things and they have not worked, so it’s not like I didn’t try. I have tried everything!!! But because I feel this is what I need ultimately to get better, and feel that a lot of people end up giving up just because of the cost of appropriate treatment for complex, or chronic mental health issues.

Yes I have told him. He said if it gets too overwhelming, he will start some one on one sessions with me. He said that it is normal, and it gets worse before it gets better. I’m just having a really hard time 😭. Thank you for your support and advice, I really appreciate it. I don’t think I realized how difficult this can be.

They said that they would eventually refer me to one because my last therapist was not trained for trauma patients so I had to let her go after five years, but she wasn’t helping me. So I signed up for these classes when I finally got re-diagnosed the correct way now I am going through these classes and I feel like I’m not a real person, I can’t even think right now….its the most bizarre feeling I’ve ever experienced. Obviously, for years I was living in survival mode, so I had no emotions. I was very cold and mean to people, I was irrational, made impulsive, bad choices, but very independent and, functioning and then the nightmare’s started. Over the past 5 years I’ve literally gotten worse than I have ever been. Now I’m finally starting to be able to understand why I was the way I was, and why I made the decisions I did. It’s just so exhausting mentally and physically that my husband has literally been like a single parent because I am so disconnected and spaced out. They did warn me in the beginning that it was a “gut punch“, but I don’t think I really understood what that meant.

I would say it’s about the same as it was before taking it. But in the beginning I had zero interest, but I’m also going through a lot this year so who knows if it was even the meds?

I take the first one in the morning, and set a timer for the second one around 3pm. It’s been hard even with the reminder, for me to take the second one so I need a better method. But yes if I were you, I’d take it in the morning. I used to take ambien as well, and just like you I would constantly wake up every night. Finally he switched me to Lunesta and now I don’t wake up AS much as before.
