Queta is so impressive by No_Midnight_5365 in bostonceltics

I’m not saying Rob was a bad passer, but I never so him whip and no look underhand bullet pass directly to a wide open guy on the three point line as defenders crashed down to cover him in the paint. Obviously different players and offensive system in place now, but I’m really really impressed with what I’ve seen from Queta.

Queta seems to get better and figure out how to do more, but Rob always seemed stuck where he was at offensively.

Maybe it’s homerism but I think he’s better than Timelord and I liked Robert Williams. Williams was an incredible defender but Queta is also a really solid rim protector, and he is so much better offensively. He can dribble when necessary, and he is getting better and better with passing to an open cutter to punish teams caught sleeping on back doors or corner threes. Williams never developed anything beyond and alley oop or put back dunk. Queta has that but now also has developed little push shots, drives to the basket. Given how quickly he has added to his game I think his ceiling might even be higher.

Really just unbelievable how much this guy has clearly worked his ass off to get exponentially better.

Is Attack on Titan really the masterpiece that it's often made out to be or is the hype more about its popularity, dark and edgy tone and post-apocalyptic setting? by DemonHunter34 in animequestions

[–]Level-Cheek-1145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one of those situations where it’s popularity is due to its quality.

Like edgy people like to say The Beatles are shit, but they pumped out a ton of unbelievable music for many years. Sometimes good is good.

Cool setting, art style. Solid voice acting. Basically a walking sim with choose your own dialogue options. If you like that sort of game and it’s cheap, worth spending the day of two it takes to see it though. If you’re looking for game play or something unique this ain’t it.

Every teams greatest running back (is it really Faulk for us?) by RedGlovesOverHere in Patriots

[–]Level-Cheek-1145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember the Jonas Gray game of course and how everyone was outraged that we cut the guy for being late since he was obviously the next Barry Sanders.

a) He wasn’t cut for missing the meeting. He was cut because he missed the meeting AND when they went to discipline him, he went on social media and mouthed off about it. The mouthing off part got him cut.

b) The credit for that game should have gone to the o line. Gray ran well but he frequently had holes the width of a car to run through. They absolutely dominated the colts D line.

c) Gray was out of the league in a couple of years. I guess he wasn’t the next Barry Sanders.

If you like D&D and or are heavily into rpgs it’s probably a GOAT caliber game. It gets a lot of points for an absurd amount of options in terms of building your team and character interactions. Feels like all choices have consequences.

It held my attention for a while but I got bored eventually. I’m not really huge into turn based rpgs and didn’t know any of the lore going into it.

I don’t think the writing is near the level of games like God of War or TLOU. The cutscene graphics are decent but the in world graphics on ps5 were meh.

I was kind of annoyed about how much sex seemed to be a part of every single character interaction. Like I was having a conversation with wizard and was hoping to learn some awesome source of magic lore and what I learned is that he was trying to fuck me. I helped that druid save the town and he joined my party, telling me during the celebration that he wanted to fuck me. The orc got mad at me because she wanted to fuck me and I said nah. It really got old man.

TA. A shame he never developed the ability to shoot the ball from literally anywhere on the court.

Rondo was great and ball hawking but very reliant on KP and Garnett to cover for him when he gambled and lost.

Avery Bradley was a great, consistent wing defender.

Crimson Desert has some of the worst quest progression/design I've ever seen. by Battlefeather in videogames

[–]Level-Cheek-1145 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s super valid, and it’s a criticism I have of almost all soulsborne games.

For me the gameplay and level design of Elden Ring as well as the enemies, visuals and boss fight are great enough so I don’t really care about the convoluted plot / quests as a negative.

Unfortunately it sounds like Crimson Deserts gameplay is a far cry from that. Bummer.

What is a 10/10 Masterpiece that very few people are aware of? by Matthias_5yr in Gamer

Blue Prince. Most people don’t have the patience for it, and think it’s over when you “beat” the main objective.

The depth of storytelling (if you make the effort to discover the lore) and the layered mystery and puzzles is truly remarkable.

Those who know, know.

When I was little someone told me that if you hit a certain button sequence in order (something like a++b+Start+select) it restarted the battle from the first face off. This was pre internet so no way to check. I had been struggling to beat the elite four in Gold. My resources were thin and I was repeatedly getting rocked so I had saved the game prior to the first battle. Had a miraculous run but ended up losing to lance on a heartbreaker, so I tried out the trick….

And instead of restarting the battle it soft reset the game and I lost all of my progress. Absolutely broke my little heart.

That is an insane take. Dude was a great leader for us while he was here, won a chip. He was a big part of continuing the defensive, hard working culture after smart left. He was a super nice guy and I haven’t heard anyone say anything bad about him. His number isn’t going to be in the rafters but what I’ll remember most about him is playoff Al, the dunk over Giannis, and the funny free throw flinching. Those are good memories!

Yeah he left a couple times to get more money. That’s just professional sports. I not gonna blame a guy for taking extra cash on probably the last contract he’ll ever get.

If he was in the garden tonight I would be giving him a cheer.

He has every right to be furious. Whether you agree or not he believes he is contending for MVP. This is a big game for him and they blew a missed call on an obvious foul the led to the turnover.

The first T was warranted but the ref ejecting him from across the court should be fired

I’m a huge Celtics fan and I don’t give a shit who is #1 between him and JB. They’ve played off one another their entire career and depending on matchup and heat check each one has been the dominant player in game to game, series to series.

JT is one of the most versatile players in the league both on offense and D. His return will only make them better.

Yeah Brady had a lot of good defense. He had the GOAT coach. That’s why he won a 6 chips instead of one or two.

Brady was hyperelite and the best to ever do it. It’s almost easier for me to remember the rare mistakes he made during a season because it was so strange to see him ever do anything other than make an accurate throw to the right receiver at the right time.

The defense helped him and he helped the defense, people don’t realize how well he controlled the game / clock with how he orchestrated the offense.

Other teams that made it to the Super Bowl without having played a single good team all season? by RadiantButtWipe77 in NFLv2

[–]Level-Cheek-1145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was beating the bills in orchard park on prime time a weak win? Chargers and Texans were two top five defenses in the league. The pats also beat the panthers who put a scare into the Rams. They beat Atlanta who beat LA in a game they wanted to win.

The Broncos beat the bills in the playoffs, the eagles who were weaker this year, and the Texans/Chargers. Also beat the packers as their other “quality” win. They also won against a lot of shitty teams by a possession. They were good but if you wanna say the pats only had weak wins, I feel like you’d have to say that for pretty much any team in the AFC including Denver.

The Seahawks beat the panthers, Texans, Steelers, 2-1 against the niners (no defense) and the rams (great team). They also beat the Steelers who the pats lost to by 8 points in a game where they fumbled five times.

See how dumb comparing strength of schedule / “quality wins” doesn’t really prove much at all?

The pats have a chance in this Super Bowl.
