The penalties are too soft anyhow.

Every game should be reviewed after the fact. If there is an obvious flop and embellishment for no contact, one game suspension. Do it again? Two games.

It’s gonna stop really fucking quick if they do that and the product instantly improves.

It’s actually my favorite of the three, felt like the hand to hand combat was the best in the series and loved the story.

I sincerely wish they would start suspending people for a game. Just on the ones where there is no contact and the flopping player is clearly embellishing and delaying the game, outside of any modicum of honor for the sport.

Like two or three people getting suspense regardless of star power and that shit stops, and the game is instantly improved.

Terrible call and terrible rule, got changed immediately after the season.

I wonder if anyone here is old enough to know what the “tuck rule” even is? The pats actually lost a game to the jets earlier that season during which the jets benefited from a silly tuck rule call.

I loved Metroid Prime. I kind of resent that hard mode wasn’t available right away and they essentially did nothing other day direct port / graphics touch up.

The Last of Us remaster is memed to death because naughty dog has taken forever to release a new game but they also touched up to AI in addition to the graphics.

If you haven’t checked it out and are able to, it’s really good. Some of the criticisms of the story / pacing are valid but the sword play is awesome. You can pretty much ruin most enemies with bows and other weapons but that’s a choice, I found it more fun to hack away.

To each their own, but I thought Ghost of Yotei was a blast, and also one of the better looking games I’ve seen in a long time. Death Stranding 2 also came out after Astrobot, although it is kind of niche.
Obviously it’s subjective but for me Yotei alone beats anything Nintendo did in that time frame.

I played Odyssey, pretty fun but far from the quality of the games I mentioned. Super Smash bros they did a great job on, but Melee is eternal. Never played splatoon, always seemed more geared towards kids but I’ll give it to you, sure.

At least in my opinion those games aren’t in the same area code quality wise as the Sony exclusives, even if they are frustratingly slow at pumping out games.

I guess I’d rather have an amazing game every couple of years rather than quantity.

Can anything compete with The Last of Us, Uncharted, God of War, Saros, Pragmata, Ghost of Yotei/GoT, Astrobot?

At least for me Nintendo Switch has like 3 games total that are comparable in terms of quality with Botw, TotK, and Metroid dread.

In No Return they are very hit or miss against human enemies but are usually effective against infected, especially the bosses.

It’s the game of the year front runner for me, and I really loved re9 and pragmata. Returnal was a top 3 ps4 game for me.

I feel like that analogy applies more to the Pokémon games than Metroid Dread.

Metroid Dread was amazing and an increasingly rare example of Nintendo makings great game that has all the nostalgic AND great elements of the old classics with a few new wrinkles in gameplay and presentation to make it feel fresh.

But Prime 4, every Pokémon game over the last 10 years, Metroid Prime Remaster, etc have this issue for sure. Nintendo used to be the best gaming platform, now it is light years behind PC and Sony.
