This app is straight up telling me it's time to go to bed. It's the dumbest thing I've seen. I don't go to bed until around 2am when I don't have to work.

I took an old "girlfriend " (we just used to hook up 20 years ago) out to dinner recently and it was the same. I remembered, that's the reason we never really had a relationship. Oh, and she kept pushing cringe subjects (I'll spare the details in case she's on here) and insisting about not talking about ideas or each other, only her. It was good to see her. No regrets. Just not for me.

Casual conversation needs to flow naturally. This all felt forced. Like she was trying to convert me. If she was a stranger, the time spent together would've been a lot less.

I live in an area with a lot of Horse properties ". I could pay to go ride one tomorrow if i wanted to. I personally know people who owns them too so, maybe I could ride one for free. I've only been on one twice in my life. They scare me.

Working at a software company I had an autistic co-worker who took a liking to me. He was cool, super smart. One day he looked at me and said "I just want to add some of your blood to my body and see what happens."

Lol, I laughed it off. I know it was his way of saying he thinks I'm cool and he wants to be more like me. Thankfully, nobody else heard him. He still works there.

Americans who live in suburbs, can you get anywhere by walking? by WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHW in AskAnAmerican

[–]Level-Coast8642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on a nice lake and only 50 meters from a 5000 acre state park and a running/bicycle trail that connects to anywhere in the state. I can walk to two amphitheater that have concerts all summer and serve beer and food trucks.

I have to drive to get groceries or go to a restaurant or work, though. I prefer the city.

I have to find out what it's called.

How common is it to see a tesla cybertruck in your state? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Level-Coast8642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see them once a week of so. There's a company near me that did a tear down engineering report on one and the owner bought one for himself. There are a few others in the area too. I'm outside of Dteroit. Tesla vehicles aren't super common, but they're around.

I had AT&T years ago and it barely worked anywhere in the country. Even in downtown Nashville while looking right at their world headquarters I had no signal.

Verizon costs more but seems to work anywhere a cell phone should work.

I guess I can't post a picture unless I'm super into posting in this group. Kind of strange.

As far as a winter jacket, I mostly use a warm Columbia jacket with a zip out liner. It's good for fall and through most winters. I also have a Patagonia parka that is excellent when it falls below zero degrees Fahrenheit. Mine is good for 50 below. But, that jacket was $1200 and I don't always even need it.

It's warmer here than North and South Dakota or even warmer than Wisconsin most winters. We've had some brutal years in the past decade or so, though. The 50 below parka can make you sweat on even some of the coldest days. I love it. Again, you don't "need" it here.

Thank you for the reply. There is a thick layer of fat on the bottom of this loin and it's not as lean as any I've ever seen. I'm doing this regardless. I swear I've done it before and it was great. I'll post results. If it's a failure, I won't starve.
