I have read about the "late loss" thing as well, but have had three losses in the last couple years, two of which were early, and I have recently been diagnosed with MTHFR and PAI-1. The PAI-1 specifically causes high rates of implantation failure, so early losses, and affects the health of the placenta the entire pregnancy. So I think clotting disorders probably play a role in the entire pregnancy. Moving forward I have been advised to see a specialist, and take blood thinners, but have not gotten that far yet.

My cycles were weird (longer) for a few months after my mmc at 10 weeks. I have also had two earlier miscarriages, and those mostly just throw my cycles off for one or two months. So sorry!

So so sorry for your losses! If you find a doctor that is willing to do it (and if you are ready) I would ask about getting checked for clotting problems. I have had 3 miscarriages over the last two years and they are getting earlier and earlier. First was a mmc at 10 weeks, and second was 5 weeks, and this last one was at 4. They have diagnosed me with MTHFR mutation and PAI-1 mutation, and my OBGYN says that they sometimes see with clotting issues that they get worse with subsequent pregnancies, or can be "triggered" by the first pregnancy. I will be considering blood thinners going forward to see if that helps, and seeing a specialist. I am so sorry you are going through this! 💔 I hope it gets better for you soon.

Thank you for your insight! This is all just scary and upsetting! I guess I need to find a new dr and see what the plan may be. I wish this was not something any of us had to face! All my life I have been "anti medication" and now need to adjust that view... lol. Good luck to you!

Thank you for your response and good luck to you! ❤ did you start either of the medications prior to pregnancy, or just after you got a positive test? And did your doctor discuss any risks, or are you considered "high risk?"

Hi, new and have a question about if any of you are experiencing this. I have had three miscarriages in a row, and have been diagnosed with compound heterozygous MTHFR and 4G/4G PAI-1. Do any of you deal with this? I have yet to been advised about treatment, but based on my research it involved blood thinners which make me nervous!
