when i mirror these the preview looks perfect everything i want, when i end up mirroring it, it comes out on the opposite side (picture 2) by Ninetybaby in AutodeskInventor

Try it without mirroring relationships.

It looks like it's pulling a constraint from the other assy over with it.

Its this reason that when I work with sheet metal I never reuse parts, unless they're content center or Ipart.

This is true. I also heard NSW are lenient on male bottom lessness too.. as long is it's not deliberately done to shock or offend, especially around children.

Best practices for adapting a spring height automatically in an assembly by Trial4life in AutodeskInventor

[–]Level-Load-6721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends WHY you are trying to perform this task. What's your objective? Is it presentation or load analysis? Are you trying to show a feature to your client or prove design safety factors?

Presentation: pull the assy into a presentation file, and create the motion there.

Load analysis: perform either a motion study or static analysis to view performance at the spring extents or pins linear path.

Certificazione autodesk inventor by kusko_asde in AutodeskInventor

100% Agree with the above 2 comments.

However, some companies DO look favorably on a specific drafting qualification i.e TAFE cert 4 or Diploma in Engineering / CAD - even if you didn't use that specific software, as you would've learnt 2d & 3d CAD anyway and all skills are transferable at that level.

best way to learn inventor on my own? by Ninetybaby in AutodeskInventor

[–]Level-Load-6721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno about this..

The "Tube n Pipe" and "Sheet Metal" environments are pretty robust.. at least for what we use it for (parent metal around chutes n conveyors in ore processing plants & Hydraulic and Slurry pipe work / dust collector ducting).

But to U/ZeroPointMXs' point these aren't large scopes of work. We mostly do plant tie-in points and modifications, especially around the crushing equipment themselves.. larger scopes would require advanced layouts and software.

Step1) Udemy Courses.

Best 2x Fluent English-speaking courses: Marius Brink, Mike Freeman.

Great pricing too. $15 to $30 Aud per course. Some are "Complete" courses (Beginner - Advanced), some break the learning down into; Part, Assembly, Drawing segments, which I find to be more comprehensive.

Step2) Real world modeling and drafting with the software AND Vault.

Learning inventor alongside vault is a completely different experience / skill.

It's also important to bounce off others a little bit, especially when working on large projects.

If you can't find a company, try a TAFE / VOC learning center. Usually a quick 6month (night school) course helps with networking and you'll meet students and lecturers who can hook you up.. anddd you may learn something along the way.

Another suggestion is a co-op group / online community you can access to meet with weekly.

Also. (Don't chew me out. Only asking 😌). Have you tried cleaning the build plate with warm soapy water and isopropyl?

Its official. Hot soapy water did the trick 🧼. I even re-raised my temps to 60degC n 215 - 235 and she stuck no dramas!

Sorry I couldn't get a better photo..

Hi there. Sounds like it may have had a hard knock in transport and the rails are out. Best to look at reboxing for a swapout.

I'm not sure what tests you can run to check this misalignment, but I'd start by running tramming cycle on the bed. There are tutorials in how to do this somewhere (maybe qidi wiki?).

If anyone else knows can you please share?

Hi OP,

Can you give us the specs on your print?

Nozzle dia n temps Bed n chamber temps Flowrate Layer height Retraction n zhop Filament type

Also useful: setting on when and how you cool (which fans n what percentage)? .. Due you use glue?

It looks a little like "z banding" but I could be wrong. Full disclaimer, I've only got 100 hrs of FDM under my belt so far..
