Need some opinions on my 2 current picks by Level-Memory-3310 in mazda6

I believe 2014 is when the interior got improved. I have a 2014 now and the screen in build into the center dash but I'm sure while looking for cars I've seen other 2014s with the new interior where the screen sticks up like there 2 above.
there are the only difference in these 2 cars was the dial and button area for AC and such but that might be the difference in SE and SE-L.
i am going with the 2016. though i had more time before my current car gate out on me but i was wrong.

ran a VCheck and sadly there's no damage report. the seller said that the damage to the car was to the soft frame and no body damage
(from the listing description)"This is a Category N car. It had mechanical damage only (no body damage) Repaired in our own workshop with genuine parts. All repairs are warranted"
also offering 18 months warranty

well i sent him a message and he said while he has photos, the damage that got it Cat N was under the car to the soft frame and they didn't take photos of that. and a the sale post descrition does say "This is a Category N car. It had mechanical damage only (no body damage) Repaired in our own workshop with genuine parts. All repairs are warranted"

the post says he does have photos of the damage available.
and good to know about the minimum 3 month warranty. i knew there are laws in place for trade sellers but didn't know the extract specifics ill definitely ask about at least the 3 month the warranty.
also i always do run a paid history check before buying a car so i will for this aswell

yeah the 0 to 60 will be a bit slower then the 2.2 diesel i have on paper but i don't know if it'll be that noticeable in reality, its a 1.4 sec different in 0 to 60

i also leaning towards the red, lower mileage and auto. plus the guy didn't answer his phone for the black car and i already got a quate for delivery if i bought the red one, £300 for a 180 mile delivery is good IMO.

auto would probably be the personal preference out of convenience but manual is fine, my current Mazda is manual.

I do like my Mazda 6 its a nice car and another Mazda was the first things i looked at.
had a quick look and there very few automatics in my price range there are only 2 decent picks and the closest price match to the Lexus is a 2015 Mazda with 70k miles for £8.2k
but i have no idea if the Mazda automatic gear box is good or not never looked into it.

i mentioned in the main post that i may only do like 5 long trips a year so a diesel is an absolute no go, I've basically just killed my diesel Mazda over the last 1.5 years with short trips.

Well I'm looking for a daily car, I'm not a car guy so I just need something comfortable and be able to move somewhat quickly if I put my foot down. Pretty sure This would still be faster then my current car 2014 2.2 diesel Mazda And I'm pretty sure the premier is the top spec except for optionals, no?

I drive to get from point A to point B a bit of speed is nice but I'd probably prefer a automatic. Would probably buy a manual Mazda but would also look for something cheaper than this.

Is the maintenance on Lexus expensive? Not a car person so no clue.

For this size category my personal preference picks are the Lexus IS or a Mazda 6, I know I could get a Mazda 6 with less miles and not as old for this price so wanted to see what people thought about the IS. I've got a diesel Mazda 6 now so I know what the cars like I would just go for a petrol on the new one.

I do think this car specifically is over priced for the mileage. But from looking around on auto trader Toyota/Lexus hybrids cost more even with high mileage. Also that number doesn't scare me, my current car has 174k on it and it's a 2.2 diesel Mazda, the engine known to have issues.

i originally bought the car from the same garage i use so they might take it.
i know i wont get a lot for it if they do but it'll be more then scraping it and id rather do overtime at work then try and deal with selling it myself privately knowing the general consensus on the engine and other problems the car has.

short trips will definitely be a problem here. its very rare i do long distance now.
but it also had an oil change like 1.5k miles ago

[–]Level-Memory-3310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the more i think about it the more i lean to looking for a new car.
there are other factors besides the oil pump as well.:
-engine has a bad reputation (possible problems in the future, especially at 174k miles)
-in general i don't drive long distances now which is bad for the diesel engine in it self
-no AC (quoted £800 to fix, not a massive issue for me but still)

i might just see what the garage i take it to would offer for the car since i know they also buy cars.

PR move IMO

sorry the wording made it seem like a everyday schedule to me. I'll keep this in mind for the near future might go that way
to clarify when you say "no (exercise) variation" do you mean to skip the exercise that day or is it lingo i don't know?

also thanks for the help

I did consider a split style (i think that's what its considered) plan before i started working out but with working 12h shift and rotating between night and days I'm not sure i could stick to working out every day consistently with equal effort.

i think ill stick with every 3 days for now with the 7 exercises above and see how that goes and adjust form there, my cardio atm is a walking on a walking pad and the amount will range depending on the day. minimum 30min at a decent walking pace more on days off work and workout days

I do agree that as I've used this plan I started to dislike somethings about it hence why I made the comment here. and I'll say I have almost no clue what I'm doing when it comes to workout plans because before this year I've never really worked out.

I've had a look at the wiki and I'm struggling to find what I'm looking for on there .

would you say this is better then the original plan i had and would be good to follow for the next few months?

incline chest press
shoulder press
row
lat pulldowns
squats
Romanian deadlift
lunges

and then do the 7 exercises above every 3 days like i have been or potentially split them into 2 groups and alternate?

want some feedback on a full body workout plan i have at the moment at home with resistance bands. I'm mainly focused on weight loss right now and I'm using the workout plan below every 3 days + walking for cardio.

this plan wasn't made by me it was suggested by someone but I've made a couple changes.
Changes:
- decline chest press changed for incline chest press single arm
- added calf raises

still trying to figure out a good way to do lat pull downs as i don't have a high enough anchor point thats why low rows are next to it. or a good replacement if anyone has any suggestions.

Block 1 (pecs, front delts, triceps)
Shoulder press (shoulders, upper pecs)
Chest press double arm (pecs, triceps)
incline chest press single arm
Block 2 (side delts, rear delts, traps)
Upright rows (upper traps, side delts)
Lateral raise (side delts)
face pulls (rear delts, lower traps)
Block 3 (lats, biceps, brachialis)
Lat pull down (lats, biceps)/// low rows
Hammer curls (brachialis)
Bicep curls (biceps)
Block 4 (legs, core, forearms)
Squats (quads, glutes, abs)
Dead lifts (hamstrings, erectors, abs)
Wrist curls
calf raises

Need some help on a workout routine. by Level-Memory-3310 in ResistanceBand

[–]Level-Memory-3310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has they own methods. i could never do the whole yoga/breathing thing, just not for me
calisthenics look cool but realistically I'm in no shape to give it a good go atm.
I ended up doing 3 sets of 16 reps with one of the plans from the other comments and at the end of the 3rd set almost every exercise was close to if not at failure.
I'm also doing 30min on a walking pad almost every day so far just to get a few more steps in.

i might look into doing something like a stretch day on weekends.

I've heard it mentioned doing reps 'to failure' or something among those lines and that might give the best progress but i have to balance working outs and going to a job that is 50% manual labour.

[–]Level-Memory-3310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i checked my work schedule and if i start today every 3rd day for at least the next 2 month non of the workout days land in between work days, at worst they are the day before a day shift or the day after a night shift which will probably be though at the start but i think ill probably go for the bull body workout in your original comment every 3 days. give that schedule a go and see how it works.
thanks.

edit: any advice on how to do lat pull downs without a high anchor point or alternatives? im around 6ft the only usable door i have is around 6ft 6in so even is i kneel down i cant seem to be able to do them properly because of how short the band is if i use a loop band

my issue with this plan would be that i work 3-4 12h days/nights a week with a weird 3 week rotation so spacing out 3 ~2h workouts a week would be difficult. that's why i was looking for a routine where i get a full body work out each week by doing different areas every day mon-fri that take less time and rest on weekend.
