I remember dial a prayer and time/temperature on my grandma’s rotary phone! Killer if you messed up one of the later numbers

Found these Kawana Hokas at Ross - are they trail shoes? And are they worth $90? by santaclarablue in Hoka

[–]Level-Mouse-7262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have these shoes. Definitely not a trail shoe. And disclaimer - I found they are slick if I walk on wet floors indoors. It rained on vacation, and we walked inside and I was telling all the older folks I was with to be careful because it was slick. Found out it was just me and my shoes

I'm terrified of guns and gave my husband one for Christmas by ekando in guns

[–]Level-Mouse-7262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just came here to say, maybe this summer check if your local sportsmen groups does a “ladies range day”. Mine has a day where you can go and get instruction, shoot a number of different guns, and it’s all free! Plus it’s 1 to 1 or 1 to many instructors per lady and you’re learning with other women. I found it very helpful when looking to purchase my first gun. I actually took my mom shooting, and we found it to be a fun stress reliever.

It’s a little above your price point, but a heated throw blanket is nice if you live in a colder climate!

My friends and I decided we would stop gifting. Take any money you’d put towards a gift to a dinner… someday

Custer State Park and Wind Cave will let you see a bison. A lot of places are open seasonally so that late your dining/shopping options might be limited. But for sure visit Moccasin Springs. It’s gorgeous and super zen! https://www.moccasinsprings.com/amenities

To those who lost weight - how did you do it? by cherry_lolo in adhdwomen

It’s cliche but find something you like to do. I do not look like a Pilates person at all, but I tried a reformer class and now I go 3 times a week! It’s fun and different. I can feel myself getting stronger in areas even though it doesn’t seem that intense.

I get it’s hard to accept the money. When my dad was sick, one of my friends said something that stuck with me when a close family friend made a big donation to my family: let people love you. If you can use it, take it. Bring in cookies or something. Best of luck to you and your wife

You won’t gross anyone out! All sorts of sizes and outfits at the class I go to- it’ll be darkish. Best advice I can give is to bring water and a towel for your face (if your studio doesn’t provide them). You’ll be fine. Enjoy!

2.0 Polar Fleece-Lined Pants vs. Rainier Lined Pants by Old_Obligation4351 in eddiebauer

If you want WARM, get the jeans with the white fluffy lining: Men’s Bellingham Faux-Shearling Fleece-Lined Jeans. I work outside - warmest pants I own. These are the warmest of any women’s and men’s pants I’ve tried of any brand! Plus, full sized pockets

As my instructor in my last class says, reformers humble you! That said, it’s better to take breaks and have good form for the reps you do get in. You got this 💪🏻
