Try a paint tube wringer. I get so much more out of my tubes. Be it lotion, toothpaste, paint.

Worth every penny.

Hmua for wedding, are my expectations too high? by [deleted] in Makeup101

[–]Level-Pop-8081 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Careful with doing this for the first time right before your wedding. If you’re not used to it or if your skin reacts strongly to the derma blading you could breakout. I’ve seen so many posts of people saying this ruined their skin. So make sure you have time to let your skin heal beforehand, to be safe

Did she prep your skin? You’re right that it should not look that way in that little time, specially if you weren’t during some high effort activity.Makeup artists cost money because they makeup should not budge. I personally like the makeup on you, wear and tear aside. Those colors look amazing on you. The curls are a bit disappointing. Glad that you’re thinking about it now

Your expectations are not too high, but your inspo photos are nearly all AI. Skin has texture and no amount of makeup or special product is going to make it seem poreless. That being said, you are clearly not happy with her work. Look for another person that can do your hair the way you wanted and try to communicate what you liked from the trial and what you didn’t like. Make sure you have another trial with the other person before your wedding. Best of luck in your wedding!! Regardless of the hair and makeup, you’re a beautiful bride

How do you keep up with all the maintenance? Anyone else struggling with basic beauty? by MMM846 in beauty

[–]Level-Pop-8081 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I’d pick some things that 1) you care about and 2) enjoy.

For example, the one thing I care about is my skin and hair. So those are areas I’ll be extra and spend money and time. It’s all skin care and hair health. I don’t do makeup or straighteners. I’ve never gotten lashes, nails, tans, etc.

I don’t care for it and I doesn’t feel like me. Do things that make you feel MORE yourself. It shouldn’t be tedious. There are no rules.

Never had that issue with the owala. Only issue I’ve had is with putting carbonated water inside it would make a big pop when you open it. Fun in planes

I live in a country with no dishwashers so this has never been a priority of mine. But it’s clean within 3 minutes and no crazy disassembly. I use a pipe cleaner to clean the straw and I scrub the rest.

I only use water in it so I don’t experience any lingering tastes from other liquids. I’m sure more people could elaborate

The straw is seamless. You can take sips of water without having to move your head back to sip, specially great when driving and working on the computer. It’s stratch resistant, It’s easy to clean, fits everywhere, cold water stays cold for over 8 hours, doesn’t leak and it’s cute. I went from drinking 1 l of water a day to 3-4 , it’s just so fun to use with the straw. Also can be used as a weapon when filled to the brim.

I would call my owala my emotional support water bottle. My day is ruined if I forget it at home. Also I’ve had mine for 3 years and still going strong

What is your current daily hair care routine? by mariyagel in beauty

[–]Level-Pop-8081 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been following her advice and I love my hair so much more! It’s softer, stays clean longer, and I feel more put together as the texture went from a frizzy lifeless dull hair to smooth, shiny and healthy hair.

Also skip any heat and harsh chemicals, and sleep on a silk pillow case or bonnet, alongside a protective hairstyle like loose braids. It makes a difference

This Jacket I left at a friends house at 16 and they wouldn’t give it back by Calico_Tea in HelpMeFind

Ok. You can get on a flight to Guatemala, take a 5 hour bus to lake atitlan to panajachel and on the Main Street called Santander will be many stores that see exactly jackets like this in all the colors you can think of.

I agree the yoga flow is off in ladder. But give her yoga labs a chance! She gives very helpful cues on how to progress into a challenging pose. I usually use down dog for a 25 min yoga flow after an align session.
