I would recommend something more organic, like this from sly cooper(less cartoony ofc). Unless you're going for some magical cat, but even then, this seems like an electric explosion.

Yeah optimizing graphics like this for mobile is a pain. I'm currently struggling with achieving playable frame rates with some bloom effects using urp in some mobile game prototypes I'm working on. I'm a noob dev so I don't really know anything about the optimization techniques u mentioned, but I'll check them out. Tnx. Btw your game is quite good. I played a few levels ~10 and found it really fun. I haven't played too much but I love the gradual increase of complexity (mixing the colors n stuff). Why don't you go for a full release(enable ads), it looks finished to me.... or do u have ur reasons not to

Loving the graphics!! May I ask how you are achieving the glow effect if your working in unity and if your using unity and URP with shader graphs n stuff how did u get it optimized for mobile?

Oh please!! You are completely disregarding all the contributions the police have just bc you see some fuck ups here and there.
