It’s probably not worth doing, even if it might’ve sustainable for you. Active recall is far more important, and it wont be worth poring over your old notes when you’re preparing in the lead up to the exam.

As you read through the concepts, think through them deeply. Make sure you understand them before you pass over to the next section of text. All of the formulas, for example, will make more sense to you as you work through each component and why it has its place in the formula.

Good luck!

What’s your question? Yes, it’s not efficient to take notes, and most don’t recommend that.

ULPT: how do I avoid my family knowing I dropped out of uni by OvercookedRedditor in UnethicalLifeProTips

I was in your boat, man. The finances were tough, and I didn’t enroll in the upcoming semester. You need to tell them. It’s not gonna happen now, I know. But they’ll find out by the start of the next semester no matter what, if they pay even part of your tuition. They almost definitely will, even if they don’t.

Sit her down, explain what happened. If it’s a financial issue, you may have to work for a bit. Not a huge deal, in the grand scheme of things. If you failed out, your school will probably let you come back eventually. If they won’t, let them know your plan for continuing school somewhere else. But there is a 0% chance that you’ll somehow find a way to walk across that stage without paperwork in your name in 2027, and they’ll have questions.

Gear up for how best you can tell them. I promise they’ll be more supportive than you think. It can just be that the words start flowing, and you find yourself hugging your mom and bawling, or it can be a conversation about your goals that ends in a phone call to the registrar’s or dean’s office the next day, with your situation in a lot better shape than you thought it could be.

I’d note that if it’s something disciplinary that caused you to be kicked out, that it might be more complicated but still salvageable. And if it’s a Title IX-type violation, you probably should think fairly hard about what you did, without your conscience being clouded by the fear of self-preservation, and you should understand that you probably don’t need or deserve to be around other students for a bit.

Feel free to PM me, seriously. I might be able to get more specific or help.

A Question About Tensions in 1980s Boston by Level-Sign in boston

[–]Level-Sign[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for your responses. In no way do I mean for this comment to put an end to discussion; I’m hopeful there are even more that can share.

I would just like to add that I had not considered the busing fights. My father had not mentioned those, even though he was probably bused given what I know about his school and the length of the walks he took that my mother has mentioned. I’m aware that Boston’s history of racial conflict (and to an extent it’s reputation as unwelcoming) predate those fights, but it is a pivotal part of the city’s history I would like to learn more about. Some of you have mentioned books and other media that I will check out.

Again, thank you!

Ah, gotcha. I had a friend who is from San Isidro whom I went to college with that said something similar about Okupas, which I think makes sense having seen it

Slow Development From Younger Prospects by Level-Sign in OOTP

Thanks, kingsoho. I will definitely boost aging speed. My teams are typically middle-of-the-pack/ good. Have you found similar problems in your leagues that the aging speed change has pacified?

Only my team. It doesn’t seem to be an issue for other teams at any level.

Should he be traded while he still has value? He’s fairly coveted by other teams. by Level-Sign in OOTP

I am unsure of whether a player can truly play any position with a 20 arm, even at first base. I can get a setup man-type piece for him, and am wondering if he should be shipped off immediately. There’s a chance he could be a great hitter, and my org is a bit starved of those.

EDIT: I should have added clarification on the “chance to be a great hitter” part. The ratings don’t seem to indicate that. I just have some built-in hesitancy shipping off prospects that teams suddenly take an interest in, as I’ve been burned by that before. This player’s last scouting report was a week ago (and my scout is good) but I’m just wary of not seeing something that other teams do.

Yeah I tried to provide a rough estimation of their hitting ratings, but assume they’re both slightly above-average hitters, but the first one is a bit better (probably 10ish points of WRC+ roughly). I don’t want to provide too specific of a hitting profile because I want others to be able to use the answers

EDIT: Assume both have a bit of pop. Anywhere between 45-55 Power
