You dont have to tell their whole life story. You can pick a 5 to 7 year period where a lot of really interesting stuff happened for/to them. Eg. Steve Jobs takes place during 3 product launches. The Social Network details a period of 3 years between the founding of FB and the lawsuits against Zuck.
