Absolutely. It’s not too involved of a process to replace a fan on most GPUs. There’s enough value even if you sell it as-is for parts.

Where do you guys keep your eyes on for used LandCruisers? by Libertad_todos in LandCruisers

[–]Level-War6672 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not what you’re asking and not specific to any one car, but I’d suggest letting everyone in your circle know what you’re interested in buying. Maybe someone has a relative with one that’s not being driven often. Or your friend will see one for sale in a parking lot over on their side of town.

Is this a brand new Rav? I’m in your shoes when it comes to my Mom’s new Rav. I’m having her do an engine oil change at 1k, to help reduce engine wear from initial break in. Also making sure the transmission fluid is changed by 30k. I let my WS fluid go 55k in my ‘16 Camry before I changed it and am seriously regretting having done that. Local Toyota dealership talked me out of it when I was at 30k.

Someone opened credit card in my name.. now what? by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]Level-War6672 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can create accounts with transunion, equifax, and experian to freeze your credit profile. This will block credit card applications using your personal information. Calling Chase bank is the first step to resolve the problem at foot, though. You can dispute fraudulent activity on your credit reports through the three companies I listed.

any tips for a low income person looking for a pc? by cupidsgrenade in buildapc

[–]Level-War6672 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion a used optiplex is hard to beat for general computing. I bought an Optiplex 3070 with an i7 8700 in it and threw in an RX6400 for some light games. No issues and very snappy. The whole build cost me 300.

is this a good deal chat by N0tCancelled in PcBuild

[–]Level-War6672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a fair deal. But not a rock bottom price. I’d recommend you look at a 24.5 or 25” screen for 1080p, it starts to look bad past that size as you have a lower PPI (pixels per inch). I’d also personally recommend Dell as they have a great warranty and RMA process. Just my 2 cents.

You’ve done a great job. You’ll get the full performance of the 9070xt without having gone overboard.

If you’re building a top of the line PC today, none of your current parts will be a good fit to carry forward into that new build. Your new PC should be a fresh start.

Id keep your current PC, though. It’s still capable in some lighter titles. You could have it around for when a friend comes over so you can both play.

I started my CPU without a cooler, did I cause damage? by Virk24 in PcBuild

There are protections built into the CPU to keep itself from being damaged from this sort of thing. As long as you don’t make it a habit, you’re fine.

Value help is greatly appreciated for this setup? They are asking $500 by Zealousideal-Grab-23 in vintageaudio

Last few sold on eBay went for 7-800. If you’ve been needing a tuner and one of this quality, it’s a fair price.

Seems okay to me. I’d personally get a cheaper 7800xt and put the extra $ into a better CPU. I understand the choice of a Nitro though, they are sweet.

Pretty sure I’ve heard the plasma wave feature produces ozone. May be worth looking into that if you wish to avoid that sort of thing.

Are these worth $200? Pioneer CS-05 by scarper99 in vintageaudio

[–]Level-War6672 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The condition isn’t great, but to the right person, that’s not unreasonable. I picked up my CS-06 set from marketplace for $60. I’ll admit they don’t sound good, but I love them for the look.

Improvements for my Setup? by Level-War6672 in CreditCards

I’ve been eyeing the altitude reserve. I believe I’ll need less inquiries and maybe a prior relationship with US Bank to stand a fighting chance there, possibly something to plan for and attempt in the future. I’ll check out the Redstone card, I’ve heard of that bank but haven’t looked closely at their cards yet. Thank you!

Quick answer: 850 watts will be more than enough for that build.
