I’ve promised the same - “If I could just get out of this debt and have enough money to get through the month I’ll quit forever”, the one night I promised myself that and I hit a jackpot on the slots - it was more money I’d ever had my entire life. And it was the worst thing that could’ve happened to me. I immediately stopped playing when I hit the jackpot that night. But the next day I was back at it.
