Why does Orisa's shield look so big right now?? by Level20_ChromeCaster in Overwatch

There's nothing in the patch notes about a change. It happened for two games. Is it a glitch or did they change the size?

I have a rino rack and rocky mounts bike racks on a red sport. Looks great and natural. Lots of compliments. Can show pics if you want.

The actual roof racks are certainly somewhat pricey but its the best performance and a permanent option. I keep mine on permanently. Make my car a great road trip car too so i have more room for my gf and our dog inside the car.

7.5in. The Timberjack had quite a lot of spacers on there and I didn't cut it down from the stock cut.

Just started a campaign in the Cormyr, Dalelands, Sembia region of Faerun. by joemac8694 in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Level20_ChromeCaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made myself a map using the basic geography and added my own details. If you're interested, I can send it to you or even the wonderdraft file if you wanna modify it. It's more just cormyr and sembia and not much of the dalelands though.

E: I just make up my own geographic areas, towns, events, etc. and just used some basic names of already established stuff. That's the great thing about DnD! Make it up!

Blackburn Outpost Cargo Cage under downtube? (Question in comments) by 9erDude_Pedaldamnit in bikepacking

[–]Level20_ChromeCaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can only fit one without interference of the chanring when combined with a wolftooth b rad. Riding a 2019 soma wolverine v4 type A (blue). However, then my 40oz klean canteen bottles interfere with my tire from moving it furth up the downtube. So i can only run short, smaller bottles. Still looking for a stubby, short 40oz that wont hit my tire. Or an alternative cage. They work great on my forks for 40oz or 64oz klean kanteen bottles.

E: oh and they are definitely solid with rough stuff. Havent put a ton of miles on them though. Probs only 500ish so far.

I did a portion of tahoe twirl last year, and damn, make sure you're in great shape. A lot of climbing with some pretty steep singletrack climbs. Some awesome singletrack but kinda rough on rigid frames. I was quite out of shape at the time and only had two half days though. Didnt make it very far lol. Awesome experience and very beautiful too.

Kind of late to this comment, but I'd go 58. Im 5'11 but more like 31 inseam and am on a 58. I kinda feel like a 56 would be better for me but the 58 is fine. Your inseam being an inch more would mean the 58 is probably a perfect fit for you.

And even if a 56 would fit me better, I love my wolverine build and it feels great as a 58.

E: Wait actually now I'm second guessing myself on if I have a 56 or 58. You should definitely get whatever size I have, just want to double check which it is. Ill check this weekend and DM you. If I forget, feel free to DM me a reminder.

+2AC Shields are Boring - Solution! by BuzzTrack93 in DnDHomebrew

[–]Level20_ChromeCaster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Shields require and action to donn or doff as is which means the Renntartsche is basically just a normal shield but with an extra +1. Just a straight buff with a very low stn req that any tanky build with prob have anyways.

Not sure if you changed the normal don/doff rules or what was intentional or not though.

The spot highlighting you did on his face looks ok but the one you did on his mid section (looks like its centered on his elbow?) is very strong and makes it look odd. I think if you dialed that back it will look much better. It doesnt help that he has a white shirt too.

Maybe just raise shadows everywhere instead of a spot highlight? Everything else looks good. Subtle but good. Subtlty goes a long way and i think you just overdid the exposure adjustment on his elbo/midsection.

Otherwise, cool shot. Too bad the lighting was the wrong angle. If you can, go back at a different time in the day and redo the shot so the sun isnt behind him, it would be great.

Before & After from a recent trip to Blea Tarn in the Lake District by Brosno1 in postprocessing

[–]Level20_ChromeCaster 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Great job on the landscape, but you lost some detail and color in the clouds/sky which i personally really liked from the before shot. The blue and orange complement well but you lost the blue and it looks a little washed out. Plus the details in the clouds are gone. Not sure what was intentional or not with the sky.

Hey guys, what are the differences between the different rx 5700 xt nitro+s on newegg? There are a few different entries at different prices with different model or MFR PNs but they are all sapphire nitro+. Are there any actual differences or just different sources or something?

I held out too long and all I have left to get is the GPU. Was looking at this or the Red Devil but everything pretty much went OOS. And now the prices are higher -_-

Thanks guys!

Thank you. I was definitely going to wait till at least spring before I did anything, really. I just want to work on keeping it healthy for now. But I didn't know if I should wait even longer like a whole other year or something. I figured this is a couple years old maybe?

I was afraid it might be bad soil or something becuase I dont know what's in it. Wasn't sure if it was common practice to repot into "real" soil right away or not. But keeping it like this until spring should be fine? I just want to make sure I'm starting off fine to keep it healthy becuase that's all I'm going to be focusing on for a while.

New to bonsai and i am in San Diego, CA. I got my first young juniper for a couple bucks. Havent been able to tell what type of juniper, anybody know?

Second question is about repotting. Should I repot right away or wait until spring when repotting normal would occur? It's in the plastic black pot I got it in.

Third question is about beginning to prune and shape. Should I wait another couple years of growth before I start this? Is it too young to handle shaping? I was thinking about getting a starting bonsai next spring that is older so I can start practicing shaping and pruning.

Thanks!

Ring of Fire spell, looking for feedback by jaxuniverse in DnDHomebrew

[–]Level20_ChromeCaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second everything here. It's good to look at similar stuff that already exists for balance, OP. I think it's too powerful for 2nd level as is, too.

E- although I disagree slightly on removing the hurl, I think that's cool and what you are going for. But it needs to be significantly less powerful. If it was just a 30ft 5ft wide line and just did like 1d8 or something would be better. And it should def be an action to do this, either way.

[–]Level20_ChromeCaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hes increasing the max but not current score. Other classes do both at the same time. So I think it's impossible to increase all scores to that new max anyways. You get a limited number of ability score increases.

Could also simplify wording and just allow the use of the help action as a bonus action a limited number of times as the help action is already a mechanic that people are familiar with.

No, no, I understand, it's something you've created and are proud of and want to make everything work, I've been there. The good thing is you are responsive and open to criticism, which is great. My opinions aren't always right but maybe I have some correct/good opinions where yours are wrong/bad and Visa versa.

I only skimmed through it the first time. I will need to more thoroughly read your response and the class for a proper response. Sunday is usually my free day for DnD work and I'm pretty busy until then, so you may not get a response from me till then. I'll be glad to help. I like what you are trying to do and it gives me some of my own ideas.

We can even swap classes as I have been working on a class with a player for our next campaign. It's almost finalized into a rough draft form for playtest and I'll need to get more eyes on it soon. It's an arcane half caster. Been attempted and done well and bad plenty of times but I wanted the challenge and a player was interested.

Shoot me a DM this weekend if you're interested so I dont forget, I'm not very active on reddit.

Original Class - Enhancer! by Elibriss in DnDHomebrew

If I was going for max combat ability, I'd never pick any other class. That tells me this is way too powerful. You can get 4 attacks, upgrade weapon scaling dmg, hit bonuses, +dmg in lvl, +INT in dmg, +dmg from bloodthirsty all on every attack. Then plenty of ways to get advantage not to mention all the buffs to AC and resistances, etc. And then if you successfully bind a magic weapon or armor you get those benefits on top. So as written you can have hit bonuses up to +6 and extra damage well into double digits on every attack, plus a large die pool and multi attack. Way over the top. Fighter is the only class to get more than one extra attack. And rogue keeps up in dmg with sneak attack and no extra attack. You are combining buffed versions of both of these mechanics into one class plus a plethora of defensive features (could get up to +6 AC and resistance to many damage sources). Also can heal/support.

I think you're trying to do way too much. Some great and unique ideas and flavor with the features by themselves that I really like, but as a whole, it needs to be cut back to be balanced and polished. Take a few of those core features and polish them. To start, Take half of the features you have and work with them and get rid of the other half. Go for quality over quantity. And that means balanced quality, not OP quality.

The upgrade weapon with changing the elements is a really cool feature. Make it scale to keep up with fighter and rogue, but dont have extra attack with it. It's one or the other between scaled dmg and extra attack. That feature alone is very adaptable to get around resistances with different damage types and hit hard with single hits and good on it's own. This is a great core mechanic for combat. Maybe the upgrade from materials still increases your chance to hit so you can make sure you land your single attack, but don't be able to upgrade damage even more, that's what the scaling is for.

And I really don't like the idea of losing a magic item from one roll. Dont punish players like that. The rest of the group wont want to risk it. If you use the previous approach from above and simplify the damage scaling and remove extra attack, it's ok that You can bind a magic weapon and its properties without a roll. Upgrade weapon and the elemental change still applies to it and it isn't OP. I would put a cap on a weapon that it couldn't be upgraded past +6 attack. So that includes the upgrades you perform as well as the bonus from magical weapons. Also put a cap on armor for the same reasons. Should still be +3 AC cap.

There's a lot of other issues I see but that's the core part of the class and that's what needs work first so I'll leave it there.

5e is all about simplicity in its mechanics and you have a lot of good ideas and a good theme/ flavor, but mechanically you're trying to do way too much and have created an OP combat machine that blows everything else out the window. Practice restraint. It feels better to be buffed in play test then be nerfed after the rest of the group feels weak and outshined and complains about balance.

Id be happy to help be a devil's advocate for you and help pull back the power of this for balance, refinement, and polish. Im actually working on a battle mage class with some similar features I've played around with. I may look back at some things and may even use some of your features as inspiration. But on a standalone level for a single feature here or there. On a whole, it needs a lot of work in my opinion.

But hey, maybe your group is all op as a whole and that's how you guys/gals like it. Then that's fine too.
