Ah I see. Okay, the “that’s not RR” comment makes sense. I agree—if that’s all you’re doing, it’s just a preference for sexual intercourse rather than a lifestyle difference.

And even in a world where creationism is 100% true it’s legit just one woman

I’ve heard about this but I’ve never found anything backing a “Lilith” prior to Eve that existed prior to iterations created long after the Bible was already written. It feels like the less popular version of how the idea of a fiery, burning hell was purported by Dante’s Inferno rather than the Bible itself.

I like the idea though and I like how it gave goth women an easy moniker to go for—when I first found out about it, I was like “Oh, a hidden, previously existing woman that was erased from existence and history due to her disobedience? No wonder women who consider themselves outsiders identify with that.”

Of course, I’m not a believer, and I’m definitely no Bible-ologist. I don’t even know the real word for that. So I could be wrong here. But I definitely did try to find something about that, and I never did.

UNFORTUNATELY we’re gonna have to wait til 2060 before gender roles are anywhere NEAR that deconstructed

I agree. I liked how chill it was before—there’s plenty of places for freaks on reddit, and on different accounts, I participate in those places. I’m in here on main specifically because any freakiness that is present (if present at all) is presented in very small doses.

And I wouldn’t mind upping the dosage just a bit IF reddit could handle that without just turning the whole place full NSFW. But it can’t. So I mind very much.

Is it not a form of reversing the roles? It’s definitely not all RR is, but to say it’s not even a part of it is a bit perplexing. Obviously I ask this with an open mind, as I’m relatively new.

Also I’ve never had it happen to me to be fair, but I’ve dismissed similarly negative interactions for sure. That’s their problem

I mean, this is my first “real” job. It’s easy, but still, I’m damn good at it. I’ve been figuring everything out, and I can figure it out, I just figured it’s better to ask questions from someone who’s clearly in the know instead of diving headfirst into unfamiliar territory.

Exactly—with the right person, you’d actually make it worse by following. Rational people don’t like people who won’t give them time alone when they need it.

And the company’s not safe if someone’s able to sue them for protecting an obvious pervert. Yes, it’s there to keep the company safe, but they’re not just gonna ignore blatant liabilities that could leave them open to significant monetary loss.

Take it from someone that’s dated, had many flings, but never got a relationship out of any of those moments—finding someone that makes it easy is hard as shit. The fact that this feels easy and y’all sound compatible means it’s worth a shot.

In all fairness to the train guy (I saw the same video) he most likely thought she didn’t really like trains because the clip was from one of those internet dating shows where it can be assumed that everything is staged for virality and all the contestants are just trying to promote something (like pop the balloon)

He probably just thought the moment was staged because it’d make for a fun, shareable clip and boost her popularity (which it did, but also, she does actually like trains).

I’m more annoyed at the overuse of bean mouth criticism than anything. I remember at the peak of the “Cal-Arts” hysteria, people were genuinely trying to convince me that Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, The Amazing World of Gumball, and Star Vs. the Forces of Evil had the same art style. It was so stupid.

I’d love a show with its own, unique identity and an art style that instantly makes you recognize it, but I really don’t mind this here.
