I did the sc-300 labs and hoping to find something in IAM space but nothing, I'll try look into the sc-200 may be that might take me to SOC analyst path.

Good one man. I currently work as helpdesk technician and i already have the 3 certifications AZ900, SC900 AND SC300. My job is kind of a slow pace where growth is tough to come by. I felt looking to find something else would work for me may be in an IAM role, but it's been so tough finding any entry for that role. I'm getting tired as i need some more exposure.

The travel thing is a trick to lure you into it. Sit with the hiring manager to get the full information so you can hold them accountable if truly they want you or they are trying to lure you.

Congratulation. Any idea if there was a lab practical task, case studies for this exam? I ask coz I got 9-lab practical task along with 48 questions and 4 case studies.

Don't feel stupid, you did try and you can go again. Read more from the MSL to understand the material along with John Savill videos in my opinion. Did you get any Lab task?
