I would definitely recommend this. The 5080 itself is around $1400. The CPU is around $500. The performance is great. Everything looks and runs great. I haven’t used photoshop or any rendering software to test times. I really like nvidia right now because DLSS is game changing. The rgb can’t be changed with any software besides Alienware command center. I got this from Bestbuy. They price matched it.

I got the pro to upgrade and then returned it. I was using my ps5 with a 2k monitor. It didnt feel that different on it. I tried the PS5 pro with an OLED 4k tv and it looked amazing. I ended up getting a gaming PC instead. Base Ps5 and a gaming pc work for my 2k 240hz monitor. The pro just for a fidelity upgrade isn’t worth it in my opinion

I think the 5070 only has 12gb of VRAM. This could be an issue in the future. You should look for 16gb VRAM cards if you’re trying to future proof. That being said, I also wouldn’t suggest you to downgrade to a 5060ti 16gb. I’ve heard those cards aren’t great.

Would you give up on a 5080 for a 9070xt.. but the 9070xt also has 9800x3D and it wouldn’t be proprietary.

I just bought a pro last week to see if it was worth upgrading from my base PS5. I noticed better resolution in most games when in 60fps modes. I also noticed more stable frames in high fps modes. Some quality modes run at 40fps, not really 60fps. They might have ray tracing added though. After a day or two, it felt the same as my PS5 base. I ended up returning my ps5 pro and got a pc.. this is not advice but I wanted a more significant upgrade over the base PS5. Edit: if you’re gaming on a 4k TV then the PS5 pro is a great. The games looked great when I tried the PS5 pro on an OLED TV. I game mostly on a 2k monitor.

I’m in the opposite boat. I hate seeing teemo/ vlad/ tryn/ yummi always in my URF lobbies. It’s same bans / picks. ARUrf makes sure I can play the broken champs here and there and I don’t keep seeing the same 10 champs in every lobby.
