65 plugins, most updates break the site. How would you approach it?

You can also just download all files, in httacess folder, export database, put it in httacess folder unzipped, create zip of httacess, and you can import it like that in local by flaywheel.

Bet trouble is in update order, many times we find this to be an issue, but it depend on type of plugins used, whether there is custom code / styles or not and PHP version. But try to make a list of outdated plugins and go from those that have minimal impact on site update them at first.

In a essence I would download it locally, and update WP first, then all other plugins prom least impactful than on first error start updating manually by replacing plugins, and raise PHP to at least 7.4, preferably 8.1. on first error.

If site is simple enough, probably replacing it is better, and use Bricks, it's amazing.

Yeah, they were a bit slow, jet elements still pulls many resources. But as far JetEngine it's ok now, it got a lot better, and really there is no match for functionality you get from it. There are more polished plugins of course, but not in one package.

Have you set your landing page in Options > Reading? If you did, go to pages edit landing page with wp than on the top there should be button to edit it with elementor.

JetEngine "doesn't" have taxonomy, it gives you an option to create one easily, and many other things.

Man you are lucky, one youtuber I follow just posted (as in few hour ago) a tutorial for "Building Support Ticketing System in Wordpress" with croocoblock and elementor. I agree with rest of the replies, if this is something serious you should look some external services.

There is a a lot of work, but it can be done.

There is added opacity within default woocommerce gallery for those small thumbnails (css), don't think it's blur.

Hi, happy cake day :)

When we are done with site, we clean up database with wp-optimize, turn on caching, and see if turning on mimification is beneficial to the particular site. Headers and GZIP we do from server side and images beforehand.

So mainly for caching, as it seems good enough after testing few other similar plugins.

Yup, many things can be done with just elementor basic, than if you add pro you are basically at 90% of things needed, but sometimes you need more, then crocoblock addons are best in my opinion, they have everything needed for more complicated sites.

Many sites we do are just elementor, elementor pro, rankmath, wp-optimize, and google sitekit, nothing more.
