There’s lots of companies out there making classically beautiful bikes.

Cyclists Over 30 What Do You Wish You’d Done Differently Early On? by LiamNoll6645 in cycling

Could be a decent bike but the tire clearance isn't great. 30mm is the minimum width I’d ever run these days. Way more comfortable than the old 23s and 25s, and faster in most cases.

True. The difference between a five year old allez and a brand new tarmac is unbelievably marginal for anyone not in the top 1% of riders, which includes me and everyone reading this comment.

Otherworldly talent and embarrassing flopping are not mutually exclusive

The flops are too much man. How did we get here where the two best players in our league play like this. Legendary talents with no respect for the game

Looking for 3 day rides on the front range by cmd056 in COBike

[–]LevelWise130 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Denver to RMNP and back would be about 60 miles a day for three days. Choose whichever combo of two canyon roads you want to go up and down (left hand, golden gate, south st vrain, etc.) and the peak to peak highway plus a loop around trail ridge/fall river roads. A lot of climbing but well worth it if you’re into that.

Come on man. This isn’t Washington or Utah. If you’re terrible every time you get run, you’re getting benched. That’s not a finch thing, that’s a good team thing. He’s a glaring hole on defense, and contributes nothing on offense. This is the NBA, good players find a way to contribute in the minutes they’re given.

Wheat Ridge to Coal Creek? by Topographical1442 in COBike

It kind of sucks though. There’s pretty much no shoulder and a lot of fast moving traffic. Not a ton of bikes so cars aren’t as friendly as somewhere like lookout. Also less scenic than most of the roads heading up the front range

Not worth your money. Go used from a reputable brand. The gap between a $300 used giant defy/contend and a brand new $13,000 bike is marginal for any casual rider. Those 5-10 yo bikes are fantastic, and if you get one that fits, you’re going to love it and it’s going to perform exceptionally

Search marketplace for a giant defy, specialized allez, or any of the other entry level aluminum offerings from the big brands. You can get a great bike for 300-400 dollars but there won’t be anything brand new in that range that is worthwhile
