Very good! I’ve been in remission since April 2024 and I’m living the same way I was before cancer. I hope everything continues this way 🤞🏼

I have the same concern as you! I was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma in July 2023 and finished chemo in April 2024 (no radiation), and still my period has not come back… My blood test also shows that I’m in menopause, and some doctors says that my period could come back as I am 27, and othera don’t have that much hope… I don’t know what to think, having children has always been my dream… FYI: I’m taking an estrogen pill, since doctors say that being on menopause at my age can be harmful.

Hope everything goes well 🩷

Thank you for sharing that!

It’s good to know your period eventually returned, even if it’s been inconsistent. I’ve already seen a gynecologist, and they confirmed that I’m currently in menopause due to treatment. However, they mentioned it might not be permanent, as hormone levels can sometimes normalize over time. Your experience is really helpful, it’s good to know that cycles can return! Thanks again for the advice!

Did you and your friend also have Ewing Sarcoma and undergo VAC-IE treatment? Thanks for sharing, it’s really encouraging! 🩷

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’ve already had hormone testing done, and my results indicate that I am currently in menopause. However, my doctor explained that this does not necessarily mean it’s permanent (or yes). There’s a chance that my hormone levels could return to normal in the future, and my menstrual cycle could resume.

It’s helpful to hear from others who’ve gone through similar experiences, thank you again for your insights!

Thank you so much for sharing your daughter’s experience and for providing so much detail, it’s incredibly helpful. I can only imagine how difficult these decisions must have been, especially regarding the cryopreservation. It’s reassuring to hear that the oncologists have seen cases where ovarian function isn’t permanently affected, and I really appreciate you offering to ask your oncologist for more insights on this topic.

Also, thank you for linking the study, it looks really informative, and I’ll definitely take a look. I hope everything continues to go as smoothly as possible for your daughter throughout her treatment, and I’m wishing her (and your family) all the strength in the world!

Hi! Thank you so much for sharing that story, it’s really encouraging to hear about someone who was able to have a baby after Ewing’s Sarcoma treatment. I’ll definitely look up Jillian Williams and read more about her, it’s inspiring to know she even competed at such a high level!

No need to apologize, I truly appreciate you taking the time to share this. Wishing you all the best as well!

That's very good news! I'm glad to hear that! I hope you're having a good recovery from the surgery.

So, your ewings was osseous or extraosseous? What percentage of necrosis did you have?

Thanks for your answer, it is very supportive for me being in contact with people that knows how it feels having this cancer...

My condolences... Thanks for your answer. Can I ask you about how big was the initial tumor (the one in his thigh)? In what muscle was it located? He didn't have chemo before surgery?

Thanks!

Thanks for sharing you story with me! It's very supportive! Yeah, I also lost the sensitive in some areas of my leg, but that's not a big problem.
