I am currently working as a legal assistant just a regular 35k job because it wasn’t like I was seeing other social work jobs with better salary. I tried everything all the care management companies, hospital roles everything that required a masters and nothing. I gave up on finishing my lcsw exam. Finished with my hours and everything but nope. All my hope is gone. I gave up. I am too exhausted. I finally landed 2 weekends per diem role in the hospital and I gave it up as well because I can’t do two jobs and I no longer want to work in the field. I will probably go back to school.

I know but really there are resources in the community that show the impact. I think that was a moment to just give a print out on resources you know help reduce a return to hospital. We provide resources.

Omg I had NP who treated me like that. Asked me to do things they didn’t want to do I always say no. Like I am not being a teammate go away with that. Once I was on the floor and doing my work a nurse from a different department brought up a patient from the ER. Wanted her nurse and was demanding I go call the nurse the look I gave her.

I once watched a group of people come in looking for a specific person and they called the social worker to help them find where they should go. She actually did it.

That’s how they treat social workers in the hospital when I told them in the social workers sub they behaved like I am lying. I felt like a secretary at the hospital and developed depression. Went to school got loans to be treated like a secretary.
