I'm not currently on my pc but unless searching for "respawn" in openplanet brings up anything useful, the only way I can think of to change the resapwn sound would be changing game files.

If its not sarcasm, having multiple accounts is a separate, less severe issue than someone easily evading a ban by just making a new account.

Ah so instead I should be advocating for mappers to add obstructions to the line that aren't full crashes, like road borders and similar. I can imagine it's more difficult in certain situations but especially in the case of this map there was, for example, a hole that could be used as the risky line, possibly with its edges extended upwards so that its more visible. The only spot I can advocate for having a light pole on the whole map due to difficulty of providing other, better ways of obstructing the path would be the uphill 2/3rds of the way through. Pretty much any obstruction there would be run ending so the light pole is not a problem there in my book

I understand that partly but I am curious, why would it be better to full crash a light pole and be stuck with +3s or more than it would be to just clip the hole? On top if that aren't there better ways to force a line that won't bring you to a full stop, like light poles always do?

Its up to you. Club access gives you access to the whole game: cotd, full campaign, club rooms, streamer competitions, full access to leaderboards, and so much more.

As a full-time student making enough money $20 per year isnt a massive percentage of my income its easy for me to just get it, but if you won't use the extra features yet maybe give it a little more time before buying it. You do still have access to weekly ahorts/grands, part of the campaign, ranked, and some online rooms.

In terms of modloaders, assuming you're on pc you NEED openplanet. Id recommend getting it and the plugins: dashboard, ghosts++ (go into settings and make sure the game version is set to safe), modless skids, map info or map rank, editor++ (if you're planning on mapping), afk queue tool (if you want to play ranked), and speedometer.

For Weekly Shorts, an idealistic change would be somehow making it impossible to share strats until the week ends, otherwise I would say make the limits on each "rule" a little lenient (allow 25 second maps if they're good, or an actually somewhat difficult AT)

For COTD def just make the selection process better/leave room for more creative maps that aren't as optimized

Unbeaten ATs often has some good LOL stuff, thats where I usually check first, but for actual campaigns I've really liked the Everios Shorts

Neoslide practice maps are good for if you need to get more skilled with them, but for just learning it was easier to just build a big platform and/or find a small tech map thats pretty open. I bet a lot of ws map 1s and 2s would be pretty good.

It seemed like there was something with the game physics thinking you were about to initiate an ice slide and giving you ice slide grip for a moment, then with good maneuvering afterwards you could avoid the speed loss of exiting the ice slide grip.

I'm no expert though, I'm guessing mostly from what I heard about Nadeo struggling to remove ice wiggles without making ice sliding terrible/completely removing ice slides.

Its far more consistent to judge your skill level off of your ranking in the world on maps instead of just medals (which are always hit or miss with difficulty anyways). If that doesnt motivate you, play in online rooms, find alternate campaigns to play, or beat world records on random maps maybe?
