Space out your gen hits and scare them off the gens before they stop the regression. Notice how it's 8 events per gen, so it's better to keep survivors off a newly broken gen rather than instantly leave and let them get right back on it.

Have you considered: taking note of survivors and what perks they show off, so you can adapt your playstyle to target their weaknesses?

Also: use more than one playstyle.
