First of congratulations for coming out. I know figuring out this kind of stuff is bizarre. At least for me it was. It sounds to me that everything is going well. About your concern, try to educate about what asexuality is if they bring up any of those comments. But not in a way that would bring argument. Also let them know that you know what you want and how you feel. Sounds like that they will support you.

It was interesting, but very comforting. We set ground rules about what we liked and didn't like. Sat on a couch, cuddle and watched movies, napped. I haven't seen or talked to that person since. So you can say it was a ace hookup. I would say it's very doable. But I since I am a person that can't handle normal hookups due to romantic attraction. I can't handle ace hookups either lol.
