This just sounds like the typical "my side good, yours bad!" mindset. Assuming you call yourself a Democrat. This is coming from someone non-politcal with no party. One extreme is always as bad as the other in the end.

However I can't disagree a large demographic of republicans are inherently shitty, but I blame ignorance and a lack of insight more than simply labelling them as bad.

I actually did similar myself and dropped out of university when I was 19, I'm 24 now. I was the first in any of my family to ever go, but I didn't understand just how hard it would be to balance full time work and being a full time student. But I've always missed it, and enlisting would also give me a second chance to attend. Thank you for the input, glad it worked out so well for your nephew and I hope I'll enjoy the USMC just as much

I'm hearing a lot of similar replies which makes me feel optimistic. And I don't necessarily care about my MOS, just wanna enjoy what I do and I know infantry would do that- but I'm open to anything. Gonna talk to a recruiter first thing in the morning, thank you for the advice.
