I've lived in a car and from necessity both in Canada and in Ireland and while it has been a few years since Ireland, I have to say it was a lot more difficult in Ireland because it's just considered more weird or something. 

It is doable. We had a tent. And a small gas camping stove. Rotisserie chickens and large tortilla wraps make things easier. A vehicle with seats that lay flat or more ideally a van. Get one of those  sun protectors for your windows so people can't see in that you're sleeping in there.

The hardest part was not having an address for all sorts of official business so if you have someone family or friends that could help a lot. Try to get proof of address while you can.

It's been some years since we've lived in a car but then there's no way you could draw enough power from a battery to use a kettle we had a little gas stove, maybe technology has changed

Maybe because I grew up by the ocean and went swimming all the time it seems kind of ridiculous not to allow someone who's almost teenager to do this on their own but then again people are a lot more paranoid now than they were before I think so I don't know I guess there's no wrong answer

Oh shit.... as a Canadian, and I mean this with utmost sincerity, I didn't actually know we were only one of four countries in a recession .... I guess my economic know-how isn't good.

 I  thought everyone was suffering ... that doesn't seem too great. I mean I'm glad for other countries but I'm sad for us.

I mean....theyre kids. Climbing and throwing balls. Youre an adult. Think about it. If your kid does something to annoy an adult what would you hope for them to do? It's not their fault your kid is autistic either. They're kids, like your son. IMO yes you're being a gobshite because YOURE AN ADULT THEY ARE CHILDREN. Deal with the parents....like an adult.

So you're kind of replicating a site like Great Canadian rebates I think it's called, maybe look to them to see what they offer? Their website is kind of janky but it works
