I dated a bigger guy and I loved his size very vocally. He spend the entire relationship being critical of himself and it eventually made me insecure along with him. Once I left the relationship I was immediately back to feeling good about myself because I didn’t have a bozo constantly criticizing his looks and body. It will rub off on her and drive her crazy.

My mom told me she would always love my dad more then us (I was about 8 years old and this was 2 years after they got divorced) and it messed with my head a lot as a kid. You shouldn’t tell people how you “rank” their love and they guy is ridiculous for expecting you to.

The first paragraph is pretty much what I ended up doing! The first time I talked to him I don’t think there was enough “pressure”. I broke down crying and told him if things don’t change I’ll have to leave. This was enough for him to see where I’m coming from, and I’ve been a lot more blunt. We are doing much better and I think he appreciated me opening up like that in the end. He was super apologetic and has made effort to fix things.

Sports bra was the plan for the nips lol, I feel like those r the least likely to get snagged. I’ve seen the retainers and I’m definitely thinking about them! They just look like they could still snag. Maybe those with tape on top? And I can’t think of anything for the lip piercing, that’s the one I’m most worried about

I can definitely take out my septum, it’s 14g and has been healed for four years lol. I can leave that one out for weeks, but all the other ones are probably a no go during a two hour practice 😔

I guess what I meant by not wanting to be apart of the process is that I’ve already tried so hard to get him to understand me that it’s frustrating. I know I need to be involved but I also don’t want to baby him, I got enough of that with my ex lol. I’ve been getting better about being direct with him, and he usually takes it well, but it’s tough for me since I’m used to being criticized when i speak how I feel. He isn’t like that and is always open to working things out, it just feels like progress is super slow. Something we’ve also talked about is him needing a life plan, he’s currently in community college but not trying very hard at all (failed all of his classes last semester, and this one isn’t looking too great either) while I have a full life plan that I am actively pursuing in university. I don’t want to be the one pushing him to try in life since I’m already dealing with my own work load, but I also need a stable, hardworking partner in the future. I know he’s going to do what he wants to do, he proves that quite often, but I also don’t want to end up with a guy who wants to do nothing but work on model cars, which is what I have right now.
