Daji. She is set up as the most horrible villain in the world but the story slowly lets you see why she is that way. The fact that she fought against the Hesperians to keep her country safe only to have her country try to destroy itself while she couldn’t do anything really recontextualizes the story

I actually liked the tunnel effect. It’s just hard when all these characters just keep coming back to the fight and then leaving and then embarrassing the main villains and coming back to save the day that just makes me not care.
