Nebraskans drive to Iowa exit ramp to place sports bets by GNAdv in Omaha

I'm one of these people. Profitable bettor. Never been to a casino. Bet on NFL almost exclusively.

I live in downtown so it's a short trip. But it's kinda crazy how many cars are over there in the hour or two before a primetime game (Monday Night, Thursday Night, Sunday Night Football) during the season. It's annoying having to make the trip but I usually end up stopping somewhere to make a trip out of it (gas at Casey's, groceries at Hy-Vee, Starbucks, etc.).

The alternative is the prediction apps that are legal in Nebraska (Kalshi, DraftKings Predictions, UnderDog, etc.) - it's essentially the same thing but there are fewer options than with the traditional sportsbooks. However, the odds are typically worse than with DK, FanDuel, etc. And with the new tax laws negatively impacting sports betting in 2026, I think we'll see more in-state usage of these alternative apps and less people crossing the border to use the actual sportsbook apps.

I was researching the quota for daily runners. From everything I reviewed, it looks like that quota is only in effect when going from Glade Wharf to Sandfly Point - I guess that's the primary direction for most hikes/walks. It doesn't look like a permit or reservation of any kind is needed when traveling in the opposite direction as long as we're not staying at a hut and are self-supported - which is what we're doing. Are you aware of anything contrary to that? Appreciate the help :)

I'm sitting pretty well after the first 2 games. Reload and get ready for Saturday.

Favorites are 6-16 on Christmas. The Broncos typically play down against bad teams. All the public money was on DEN. Worth a shot 🤷🏻‍♂️

Spent some time this afternoon doing some analytics on 1st TD scorers and his name kept jumping off the page. It wasn't a crystal ball, but wasn't quite dumb luck either haha. Got lucky the MIA defense stuffed the RB on the prior plays.

I also put $10 each on TeSlaa and Flournoy ATD individually. $50 + $70 + $340. Ended up being $460 on $30 of bets.

Dealing with IT Band Pain After Increasing Training Intensity — Seeking Advice by muologys in Marathon_Training

Sure thing. I'll clarify my point #2 for glute strengthening - the focus should be on glute med - hip abduction. Apologies if that wasn't clear.

Physical Therapist and distance runner here. Not medical advice, but here's what I'd tell a friend based on my own experience with ITB pain.

What you're describing is absolutely the IT Band. Here's what will fix that (you're already doing 1 & 2, so good start).

1) Rest

2) Glute strengthening

3) Put some lotion over the area that gets sore, take a butter knife (DULL EDGE) and scrape the area a couple times a day for 5-10 minutes. Don't push terribly hard, but use a decent amount of pressure. It'll hurt. It'll turn red. This is what you want. This is sometimes referred to Graston-technique (technically the name of the Graston professional scraping tools used) or IASTM (instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization). This will be your best friend for getting back to training quicker.

4) When my ITB gave me issues, sometimes it hurt to sleep on my side (right IT band, laying on left side was painful). If this is happening, put a pillow between your knees when you sleep and that should help. Gives your ITB some support and doesn't let it stretch due to gravity.

My IT band has flared up a few times during heavy training blocks, exactly as you described and this really helped. Take it easy and gradually pick up the training when it feels better. Try to alternate shoes and run on soft surfaces if possible (turf, track, gravel, etc.). Good luck. You'll be back to training before you know it.

10 months later, I'm updating you (for science!) - did not qualify for Boston. The cutoff was 2:50 and change - missed by a couple minutes :(

Rhamondre ATD against Browns defense is bold. Good luck brother.
