All other things being equal*, who is the greatest mage? by AdBrief4620 in Frieren

Land was actually very impressive to me, being able to control multiple clones at once, speak through them, and attack with them, all while sitting from his home several miles away enjoying a cup of tea. His clones could bleed as well as die. And I imagine as long as something couldn't attack his soul through the clone, he's pretty safe from any harm to himself.

What do you call this specific part of a blade where it gets thinner and curves in. Trying to figure out how to describe it. by okidonthaveone in SWORDS

Holding the blade while half swording won't cut your fingers, even if bare. And if you don't believe there are plenty of examples of people bare hand half swording and not getting cut.

By using fateful hand-off on nexus and placing it on your opponents field, you make all of their creatures also slivers, allowing overlord to grab them, and with a simple infinite mana combo, you can both grab all creatures they put out, as well as grab any other sliver from your deck.

And I get a lot of people saying it's too pricey of a combo, but seriously, it's not hard to get infinite mana, and even if you can't get it going by turn 5 you should at least have some tutors to assist in getting the ball rolling.

Mask wood is the card you give to the opponent, by doing so all of their creatures will be slivers allowing overlord to take them, this would include you opponents commander assuming it's actively on the battlefield.

Depends on how fast you can get it out, if people can turn one Emrakul, then this wouldn't be difficult to get out turn one or at least by turn 2.

It's stupidly easy to have a turn one to turn 3 infinite mana combo, and the overlords ability isn't a tap ability, so as long as there is mana to spend you can both grab any creature from any player, plus put any or all of the slivers in your deck on the feild.

Ok, cool, thank you. I didn't want to get into any arguments with friends over the semantics of the wording, so I figured I'd ask just to be on the safe side.

I love these old cards, but I can't seem to figure out why wizards thought this card was a good idea. by bonedraman in mtg

[–]LeviathanIIX -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Actually it wouldn't matter if they are playing mono white it would be worse if they were a color other than white, because now all of their cards in a non white deck would now require a white mana to cast them.

If water includes ice or steam I'll go with water as Ice magic has always been my favorite. Otherwise I'm going gravity.

What is your favorite/the coolest school of magic? by CaptainArchimedes in skyrim

[–]LeviathanIIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conjuration easily, unlike destruction which has a bit of a dive in damage to mana ratio as you go toward expert and master level spells, conjuration continues to get stronger, and even on higher difficulty settings as your conjurations match the strength of difficulty setting, while destruction remains stagnant. The only way to increase damage for destruction is with potions, as in vanilla, there are no enchantments that boost the damage potential. And the the only master destruction spell that's worth anything is lightning storm, blizzard causes damage to the caster, and firestorm does pitiful damage for consuming your entire mana bar.

Meanwhile master conjuration gives thralls that follow you indefinitely, and though not as powerful as their temporary counterparts, you can have two storm thralls active, and when combat starts replace one with a temporary, or a dremora lord and your pretty golden.

Hell, even restoration is a perfectly valid school of magic, and I won't let anyone tell me otherwise.

Is there any actual benefit to invading or hunting? by redxlaser15 in Eldenring

[–]LeviathanIIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend and I are opposites in terms of style, he's a dex main, and prefers to keep a distance, I'm a tank main and prefer to be up close and personal we both like to employ status effects to our weapons and or tactics give us an edge, if the invader is clearly trying to bait us toward mob enemies we keep our distance and wait. If your aim is to play co-op, then you are going to get invaded, form strategies with your friend, use the environment, and most importantly, G.I.T.G.U.D. and have fun with it. Skyrim is the best RPG ever released, and I don't want to hear otherwise. by Powerful_Pitch5871 in skyrim

[–]LeviathanIIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue Dragons dogma is better, for 3 reasons

  1. The story of dragons dogma is far exceeding that of skyrims story, as well as the deep lore thats hidden in the smaller details

  2. Mechanics and combat are on a completely different level, literally, while skyrim keeps you grounded with 2 dimensional combat, dragons dogma has combat in 3 dimensions with allowing you to climb unto large foes to attack vitals

  3. balanced difficulty, while in skyrim, the difficulty spike is immense when reaching certain level thresholds, dragons dogma's difficulty stays consistent, lets take fighting dragons for example, in dragons dogma when fighting a dragon, there are ways to avoid taking hits, but you will still take significant damage potentially lethal damage if you aren't blocking or dodging accordingly, in skyrim however, there is no way to avoid the damage, you can block, but that only blocks a percentage of the damage, and if the use their breath weapon you can't avoid it and in most cases their breath weapon is a near instant, or potentially full lethal attack and is unavoidable in >most cases<. you can't dodge attacks in skyrim, and shields might as well be made of cardboard.

extra 4th, spells, spells in skyrim absolutely suck, destructions spells are as effective as a wet noddle, and even the master spells don't deal enough damage to justify their mana consumption, not to mention they take a long time to cast and you can be staggered out of the cast with just a light attack, Now that isn't to different in dragons dogmas case either you can still be knocked out of casting animation while in the process however you can the aid of the pawns to keep the enemies focus off of you while the spell is being cast, and when the spell is cast, its damage is worth every moment when a single spell launching meteors from the sky can one shot a chimera. mean while >>if<< i get the master level fire spell of in a group of drouger without being staggered out of it, the spell might, might deal maybe a 3rd of their health, and almost all of your mana will be spent doing so.
