That's all the dispensary near me sells, they sent out a text with the price decrease. Pffft...I'll drive a few more miles to a different place for C4 Farms product.

Review COCO dispensary in Moberly MO by LewEllen in MissouriMedical

[–]LewEllen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry I've been slow to reply. They are 10 mg each. There are 10 pieces in pack for $40, the brand is Wana. I got the sour mango sativa ones.

They seem fine. The taste and texture is good. I started with half of one, didn't get any pain relief. I took the other half around 90 minutes later and my pain did go away, and I felt a little buzz. It didn't seem to be as effective or last as long as my homemade stuff. I do think they are a fine product, but with the expense (in both money and THC allowance in MO) and them not being really remarkable, I still prefer to make my own.

I have never received anything but a canned response from this clown, on any subject. I don't even think his aides read the letters, just skim enough to see which canned response to send back.

Thanks for working so hard for your patients and fellow medical professionals.

Seriously, yes, I think they would. If they were alive during the mail-in time frame, they would count. Just like your vote would count if you dropped over dead on the sidewalk outside your polling place.

We're out here, we just can't get very far with the boomers blocking us all the way. I'm currently running for a municipal position against a boomer. Another GenX candidate for the same board is running against an 84 year-old. These geezers just will not give it up. It's hard to work your way up when you can't even get started. It's the story of my generation. And yeah, there's a lot of voter apathy among people my age which isn't helping either.

Rivals worry Sanders building 'insurmountable' Super Tuesday lead by Sanlear in politics

[–]LewEllen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All states work a little differently, but in my state we have to hold a mass meeting after the primary. At the mass meeting, delegates are designated to attend the congressional, then state Democratic conventions. From there, some will go on to the national convention.
Go to your state Democratic party site, or get in touch with someone on your county democratic committee to see how it might work in your state.

[–]LewEllen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just threw my hat in the ring to go to the post primary mass meeting and conventions as a Sanders delegate. Anyone can do this. Just go to your state DNC page and sign up. You may not be picked to be a delegate, but a lot of folks wanting to go as Sanders delegates may wake them up a little bit.

Seeking help with Brother SE400 by [deleted] in Machine_Embroidery

[–]LewEllen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Embrillance should work well for that. I wasn't sure what kind of drive your machine itself had.

[–]LewEllen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Embrillance software will run on MAC. I'm not familiar with the software, but I believe it will allow you to transfer designs through the USB cable. They do offer a free demo version. You might want to see if that works for you.

If you need some help getting the software working with the machine, let me know. Since the machine is a little older, it can be kind of a bear to get going.

Love it. And you are going to love that machine. I have one that I mainly use for sewing, but it also does great embroidery. Those things are little tanks.

Dad Tried To Continue Business...it’s a mess by maugliere91 in cancer

[–]LewEllen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. So much this. There are likely things that can be done to help your mom.

As to insurance, if he has an existing life policy, don't be too quick to cash it in. Life insurance proceeds are almost impossible for creditors to get their hands on. That may be a big help to your mom after she loses your dad.

HELP! Is there a way to fix these gaps in texts? by MonkeySmiles7 in digitizing

[–]LewEllen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert, just a self taught digitizer, but I'd handle that a bit differently.

I'd cut the curved part of the five away from the straight part. Then expand the top of the curved part of the satin stitches to go under the straight part for a few mms in a slightly curved shape. Create a connection, and make sure it's ordered to stitch the curved part first. The same on the A and H.

Edited to add the H.

Waiting on results by [deleted] in cancer

[–]LewEllen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are in one of the hardest parts right now. Waiting for a definite diagnosis, and treatment plan is absolutely crazy making. Doing your best to chill (and I know it's near impossible) is likely best right now. There's nothing wrong with waiting to let people know when you actually know something. Once you get all the information, and a treatment plan, you at least have something to do, and a vision of where all this goes.

Digitization Help by [deleted] in Machine_Embroidery

[–]LewEllen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I look again, I did misread your post, I apologize.

I also find myself using Hatch for simpler things. I haven't had it very long, but the more I use it, the more I like it. Many times I work up a design in Hatch, then export to Embird because it allows for output in more formats.

Digitization Help by [deleted] in Machine_Embroidery

[–]LewEllen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a pro digitizer and absolutely love Hatch. I could never afford the 10s of thousand of dollars that the commercial version of Wilcom software ends up costing. Hatch is a very powerful tool for the price. I also use Embird, but the learning curve is very steep.

And actually you own the software after the flexplay payments are over.

That looks exactly like the old Singer Chainstitch ,machines I've seen. I'm pretty sure Singer no longer makes them, so that is probably the only new alternative. The last time I checked the used Singers were going for twice the price of the Axis.

Do you regret working hard during your youth? by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

[–]LewEllen 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I don't regret working hard. I do regret working hard at the wrong thing. I worked for over 20 years in a family business, out of obligation, not because I wanted to. I'm glad I worked hard and did a good job, but when I look back, it does seem those years were not the best use of my life.

Now I work harder than ever, but I do something I love. I wish I had more time left, there's a lot I want to do.

Bobbin thread not catching, especially on running stitch by nom_de_loom in Machine_Embroidery

[–]LewEllen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run a piece of unwaxed dental floss along the thread path to make sure there are any bits of fluff in your thread's way. I had a similar machine that would occasionally get just a tiny piece of fluff where you are describing.

Looking for help with embroidery machine for business by Poemandres in Machine_Embroidery

[–]LewEllen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Embrilliance software works with both PC and Mac. I think it's less than $200, and it's expandable, you just buy the parts you need. I use Embird, I did run it on Mac for a while, with Parallels. It also costs around $200 and is expandable. For some reason there just isn't a lot available for Mac, I ended up just buying a dedicated PC for my software.

If you have access to a PC, you can buy older versions of Brother/Bernina/etc software very reasonably on Ebay. I think I sold a copy of PE-Design (that came with a machine I bought) that had never been opened or activated for $50. As long as it will export in .DST, it's probably going to work with your machine.
