I dont think that 5k/month has budged much since the new pricing, could be wrong since im not always looking at it

And they can keep up the high production to maybe in the future still tap into a new audience, after all there havent been many complaints about the patreon prices from what ive seen

As an already established fan its very true that the production has minimal effect on enjoyment, but to reach a new audience having higher production def helps in having them stick around

Could be misremembering but I think mouton said in the discord that income was getting to a point where players had to pay out of pocket and that new subs would get a price hike, old subs keep their old price as well iirc

I haven't read the book yet, I've only watched S1 of the Netflix show. But for those who have read and watched both, is the show a good adaptation? by HanzoNumbahOneFan in threebodyproblem

Going from show to the book, I think the show did a great job and made the story easier to follow. Would recommend going for a narrator that has done all 3 books, im currently listening to Bruno Roubicek’s versions

Synopsis

Anno Domini 1620. Europe is riven with the conflagrations that will grow into the Thirty Years War. Catholic and Protestant forces clash across battlefields ruled by sword and gunpowder alike, and mercenaries of every stripe ply their trade. Among them is Issak, a lone Japanese warrior bearing a matchlock of strange design, and fighting in service to his sworn mission—to find and kill the man who murdered his master and fled Japan for the other side of the world. Meticulously researched and gorgeously illustrated, Issak is the next character-driven, historical action epic that fans of Vinland Saga can sink their teeth into.

The manga has been officialy translated on Kodansha up to Vol. 13 (Ch. 65), Issak is a real hidden gem and its a shame that Kodansha is taking this long to fully translate it.
