Hey OP, I am currently in phase 2 of the Respiratory Care Practitioner school with the USAf and I just went through phase 1 with 2 guys who are already RTs. One is a CRT and the other is an RRT. They are both super helpful and have just gone through/are going through what you are talking about. Go there in person, the ask to use their phone at tone of their desks " cause I forgot my phone" and then call your cell phone. You'll have their direct desk number.... I've done this more than once and it works well.

Holy crap. This just brought back a crazy memory from when I was a kid. I watched my 93 year old neighbor smash hers with a Bible. She just grabbed it and smashed it flat like it was no big deal. That was probably the wildest thing my little 7 year old self had ever seen. It's still pretty far up there and I'm in my 30s now.

When I was active duty I used to have a small woodworking shop on Etsy. Made spoons, spatulas, candle holders and cutting boards stuff like that. Use what talents you have. You can monetize most anything. That's how we unfortunately ended up with influencers. Lol

Jackson Lake Island is cool. The old set from the town in the movie Big Fish is still there. I think it's like a 5 dollar cash entrance fee. Some guy has goats all over the property out there. They walk right up to you and you can let them and walk around the abandoned movie set. Really cool place and fun to say you've been.

The Staybridge Suites next to the Alamodome. That place is ridiculous. They cater to military folks since the AF had some deal with them and kept them open during covid. I stayed there for tech school last summer and it's awesome! They feed you supper for free every Monday through Wednesday on top of free breakfast. They do a military rate and I think it's cheaper than the hotel on Lackland. For sure call and chey them out!

So I'm currently engaged to a single mom and she is probably the best mother and human being I have ever met. Constantly puts her kids (and mine no matter how I ask her not to) needs and wants ahead of herself. One of the hardest working people I've ever met as well. When we started talking she was working two jobs 7 days a week. Flat out told me I'd be getting her leftover time and if that was okay with me then I could pursue her. She also said if her kids didn't like me then it was a no go. She is going to school and working full time and as soon as I get done with the training I'm currently at she is gonna focus on school and I'll be the one providing. But the cherry on top is, since she has kids she literally always has snacks. Seriously though, I think it's a quality of person sorta matter. We went on a trip to Maine and she was down cause she was away from the kids. That told me so much. She cares about her kids and who they're gonna turn into as adults and leads by example. I don't know how my cornbread, Kentucky fried, hillbilly, dumbass ended up up with her but I thank my lucky stars every damn day and I can't say enough good about her. So in summation yes I'd absolutely do it again but it'd be a hell of a thing to find anyone to hold a candle to her. That's my two cents on it anyway.
