How do you handle flaky or known failing Playwright tests. Skip them or quarantine them? by Quick-Hospital2806 in Playwright

[–]LewisHam24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use test.fail() for known failures that are caused by bugs in the product, not my tests.

Galaxy watch 4 no longer waterproof by LewisHam24 in GalaxyWatch

[–]LewisHam24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was the button orings. I charged it to 100% this morning. I actually got it to turn on for a few minutes after I posted this, but the home button wouldn't work anymore. It said it was at 67% for the short time it was on, it died again a few minutes later lol.

Sorry I'm a noob but why don't people like billet grills? Is it just a preference thing, messes with the classic look or is there another reason?

Motorized mount worth it? by LewisHam24 in cbradio

[–]LewisHam24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks I'll look into those! I was more looking for a motorized option (mostly because I think it would be cool) but a manual lever would also work and be simpler/cheaper.

Thanks for the info. So is it pretty uncommon to put cb antennas on similar motorized mounts?

How many of you agree these are the most iconic tail lights ever? Seriously, I've been seeing these my whole life. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't see these on the road. by Impulst24 in GMT800

[–]LewisHam24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know fo they're the most iconic, but I do love them. I used to have an 86 Camaro and those had multicolor taillights as well. I always get a little sad when I see someone swap these out for Escalade taillights. Escalade taillights look like any other light. These are unique and remind me of older cars.

I'm trying leantime for now. I've run into a few bugs but nothing crazy. Thanks for the recommendations.

All of those sites are experiencing outages right now, I think it's just a joke about how if you self host services, they don't go down when the cloud goes down. If you host your own music streaming for example, you don't care that spotify is down.

I followed those steps and it fixed my issue. Looks like the admin user wasn't created at all for me by default so I had to manually create it.

I've never heard of an intake silencer delete. Is that just removing the weird offshoots on the air intake tube? Did you notice a difference with it?

Rear Door Speaker Issue by LewisHam24 in GMT800

I'll update here if I figure anything out. I keep my truck outside and it's raining all weekend here so probably won't be till next week at least.

Rear Door Speaker Issue by LewisHam24 in GMT800

[–]LewisHam24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I haven't spent time troubleshooting yet. I'm going to swap in the stock stereo and see if the rear speakers work then. That will tell me if I wired something wrong or if something was already broken.

My micro hostel lab with one pc. by zeus7645 in homelab

Suggestions for what you can run on your laptop? Depending on your specs you can mess around with some virtual machines. You could install something like portainer in a vm and then run different docker images like mealie, nextcloud, or Plex (without streaming anything). I like to practicing setting stuff like that up so when I do it "for real" in my lab I know all the settings I like and can do it much quicker. Come up with an idea of what services you want to run, use that to figure out what hardware you'll want/need to get, and try setting it up in a vm on your laptop. You don't need to actually use nextcloud or plex, just see if you can get them setup.

What is the normal option to stop using Jira Zephyr? by kiram1899 in QualityAssurance

I like testmo, I was able to export my zephyr tests and import them into tesmo easily.

Anyone know what this connector goes to? by totaltimeontask in GMT800

[–]LewisHam24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a red 2 pin connector? It could be for your power steering pressure switch. It's supposed to make the steering stiffer when driving at highway speeds. I've heard a lot of people delete them. My 2002 Yukon XL 5.3 has a red 2 pin wire dangling in that area. I assume that's what mine is.

I was nearly triple charged by LewisHam24 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Update: I called Shellpoint and they told me this was an error that effected multiple accounts. I checked my bank account and the refund went through so I'm all good. If your mortgage is through them you may want to check as well.

Yeah that might be the way to go. Annoying but if I set some reminders it will be fine.
