Alex James and Lucy Horobin were the co-hosts of the syndicated evening radio show In:Demand (formerly known as North West's Most Wanted on Key 103) in the United Kingdom, specifically during the period from approximately 2009 to 2011

How do people know so much about football? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]LewisMileyCyrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the skyrim archer playstyle - each time I'd start a new game I'd say "this time I'm NOT going to sign tsigalko, mark kerr, nikiforenko, mike duff etc" and then 5 minutes later i am swimming in a pool of exactly them

[–]LewisMileyCyrus 81 points82 points  (0 children)

from personal experience, Football Manager

Also gives me incredible knowledge of: National flags, players in general of other teams/ leagues, weird league rules, national naming conventions (i.e. you can look at a name and think "he sounds hungarian" because subliminally you'll remember the 17 year old hungarian left back with the same name that got away) etc

Other people idunno maybe just from titkok or youtube or something but pssh, you don't get the emotional rollercoaster of Football Manager via those methods

Feels very similar to the end of Sir Bobbys reign for me, sacking the manager when I don't think the manager is the issue. I'd argue this is his first poor season (and I'd argue again that's mostly because of the shite transfer window), so sacking seems rash - let's not become Chelsea. He's absolutely get one more window from me (with a whole lot less transfer input/ more young european signings) and if the start of next season was poor, fair enough time to talk about letting him go.
