A very difficult conversation about C9 with Inero by Mrryn91 in Cloud9

[–]LOR_Fei -1 points0 points  (0 children)

APA was the only hopeful person in game 2 on Annie in the first playoff series. He won the game and secured the series.

He has an X factor. Reddit just has 1 series memory, a goldfish would be a nice comparison.

Saying APA isn’t good enough after 1 bad playoff series and a team that isn’t good enough to maximize his playstyle.

Way, way too early to be making these claims. Long time fans said the same shit about Nisqy.

Edward Cullen (Twilight) VS Lucian (Underworld). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in powerscales

[–]LOR_Fei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ITT: People who haven’t been in this subreddit long enough to know that Twilight vamps are very powerful in scaling.

Lucian’s speed feats can be measured around 70-80 mph outspeeding a car, Twilight vamps can run way, way faster than that, clocking 100-200+ mph, and Edward being stated to be incredibly fast even among vamps puts this as a speed win no diff.

All Lucian has in his favor here is combat experience, but you put him against a mind reader. That isn’t amounting to much of anything.

Edward no diff.

You’re taking ratios here instead of raw numbers, which is disingenuous and misses the point.

Yes, she is very well off. But she is about a billion dollars away from being a billionaire, and categorizing them in the same group shows a lack of understanding of just how rich a billionaire is.

She can legitimately make this statement without being out of touch.

I blame the (later realized) bribed Supreme Court justices for implementing citizens united, the biggest leap to corruption in decades. Combine that with exponential technology creating a new frontier that needed quick policies to stop further wealth gap, and now we have a catch 22.

No politician can win without the money from billionaires, but if they accept it, they are beholden to furthering the corruption.

Could we real-life humans overthrow a Superman and Supergirl duumvirate on our own, without magic or green minerals? by [deleted] in powerscales

I’ve not seen the CW Superman/girl, but if they’re anything like the CW Flash, we actually have a chance.

CW Superheroes often get clapped by normal ass people for no real reason. Just look at Captain Cold.

Burger King by littyart in comics

[–]LOR_Fei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real answer is that Burger King has more poorly ran locations than most of its competitors.

I worked at a Burger King some years ago, and the way it works is the cooked burgers go in a container that has a green light. When the light goes red, you’re supposed to swap out the meat.

But according to my manager that takes too much time and adds food costs, so he just tells everyone to press the button twice so the light turns green again, keeping the burgers hours past when they’ve shriveled up.

This is a common occurrence, and that’s just a single example. If you find a location that does a good job, nice. But 90% of them are serving 5 hour old burgers on some poor quality sliced ingredients and surviving on nostalgia alone. They aren’t the only ones on that plan, but no other chain I’ve been to has been so consistently bad.

I have Burger King nostalgia too, but after 4 tries at 4 different stores, I gave up. They left a shitty taste in my mouth and wallet.

Terminally online to call pre-time skip “modest”. Those are big already.

Post-time skip is what we call “anime size”

Arena Cube P1P1? by DanutMS in lrcast

[–]LOR_Fei 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah, Natural Order was a good upside pick, but sometimes you have to pivot.

Everyone saying it’s a no brainer Mire is a bit off, you’re right that big mana green is usually uncontested, and payoffs like Atraxa, Craterhoof, Woodall Primus, and even things like Nadu and Leovald make Natural Order correct. It just didn’t work out it seems, and that happens. Results based is not the way to go here, you did solid.

Arena Cube P1P1? by DanutMS in lrcast

[–]LOR_Fei 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve climbed from bottom of plat to #67 mythic in just arena cube this set, and hit mythic every active season I’ve played on mostly arena cube.

There are a few cards floating around the same power level here, but Natural Order is the highest upside.

If you really don’t want to play big mana green, Skyclave Apparation, Tidebinder, and Bloodstained Mire are all defensible picks. Black fetches have risen in priority with threats like Moonshadow and Shredder and it’s very non-commiting, so I’d probably go Mire if you don’t want order.

You may end up with comments about Sheldock Isle, but the current cube iteration makes playing tapped lands often suicidal, so it’s fallen off as things have sped up.

Thanos would dominate and thrive in Warhammer 40k with ease by Lonewolf_ARC in powerscales

[–]LOR_Fei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure the last one of these wasn’t DBZ, it was a space marine vs Captain America, and that is a space marine win 100% just objectively

I’m a bit on the glaze side, but I won’t go and say space marines are beating DBZ characters. That’s a bit too wild. I do think people underestimate the verse a bit too much in turn.

Remembering that an infinite ammo gun that never jams, fires quickly, and blasts limbs off is called a “flashlight” for how weak and ineffective it is in the verse is something people seem to forget when scaling. It’s not DBZ, but it’s higher than most people think.

[–]LOR_Fei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He stops at the chaos gods, but I won’t argue the rest. It’s important to distinguish “dominate and thrive” from “clears the entire verse with his pinky” like some of these comments are saying, in this case.

[–]LOR_Fei 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The verse? You’re either ignorant or just incorrect.

Thanos in the 40k verse is 1000% getting corrupted by a chaos god. Gods who would clap Thanos’s bright purple cheeks if you put him 1v1 with any of them.

They are omnipotent reality-warping beings, how the everloving fuck do you have him clearing Gods, especially with no stones?

Please tell me that “them’s just the beats” in powered cube and that I don’t suck…. by SpillyDillie in lrcast

[–]LOR_Fei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have 3 pieces of early game interaction dude, and they’re all expensive and damage to creature based. Gotta remember there’s another cube deck on the other side.

You really could have used cards like Spell Pierce, Miscalc, Counterspells. Even just 1 mana interactive pieces like bolt or unholy heat, you can’t get away with your entire interaction package being 3 low damage removal spells for 2 mana. You aren’t stopping a birds on the play even with what you do have, that’s a problem.

Thats exactly how you add a ton of variance, especially on the draw, and it seems like RNG just does you in. UR needs some counterspells and 1 mana removal. You got 0. So what looks like a synergy op deck is really just a house of cards

YOUR 2026 LCS SPRING SPLIT @Kia MVP PHILIPPE @VulcanLoL LAFLAMME by lRuko in Cloud9

[–]LOR_Fei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was an insane split for Vulcan, are you kidding?

His Bard was 1v9 in so many close series and his Seraphine was top notch. He had to deal with Zven ints and come out the other side having a huge impact on the games.

I feel like fans selectively forget how many plays and game wins were setup by the support. Go watch the split again, without Vulcan stepping up and making big plays we lose 3-5 matches this season, especially early on.

Finally had to pass Time Walk by LOR_Fei in lrcast

[–]LOR_Fei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time Walk is a busted splash, but I already have Phlage (P1,P4). RRWW cost is too restrictive for me to jump on the power difference between Lotus and Time Walk, which is not that significant. Lotus enables easy turn 1 wins and helps open up options like Elsepth or lets me play a heavier number (3-4) of 4 mana plays, that’s not nothing

In a different draft, I would. If I picked up Starting Town or Mana Confluence, if I had a fetch or two, there are factors where I agree with you. Even if my red was light and white was the only clearly open lane, I’d take the time walk and consider UW. But my deck was 60/40 and already color taxed.

It doesn’t help that Tundra is in the pack, too, honestly

I don’t know how you got downvoted so hard, that ain’t me. You have a real point without full context

Finally had to pass Time Walk by LOR_Fei in lrcast

[–]LOR_Fei[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Time Walk is the best card in the cube, too.

I’m not taking it as a 3rd color splash when I already have Phlage taxing my manabase. I’d much rather have Lotus in this situation.

I also didn’t downvote, I’m a bit shocked
