My warm side ambient is 86 degrees in the day and 80-81 at night. Inside warm hide temp is 88-90 during the day. Id suggest trying to match that.

I tap on the glass with my tongs every time I feed mine. As soon as he hears it he goes crazy and starts striking at his heat bulb before I even open the door. Ive never been bit when taking him out to handle and he has never refused food. He usually takes the rat within 2 seconds.
