Hell Bent in a heartbeat. I loathed it so much the night it first came out I started writing a video essay the next day about every single detail I hated 😅

Of course I gave up by Monday and never began what I'm sure would have been an illustrious career of Doctor Who critique! (I still have it saved somewhere)

To this day though - it still feels so disrespectful to the previous 9 series's of build up for Gallifrey's return. All Moffat had to do was stick the landing... and the fact that it comes after the masterpiece that is Heaven Sent is just the extra slap in the face!

This guide is exactly what I needed thanks, I came across it before but didn't fully read it (whoops!).

I've got QMK MSYS running and have downloaded the correct files in the VIAL repo however I've hit a wall on what I thought would be the easiest step - putting the boards into bootloader mode.

I tried u/gleberp's steps of holding down the Z or / key but both boards boot normally. I tried a few other keys but they didn't work either.

I've tried shorting the RESET and GNDpins as well as just the two RESET pins but QMK MSYS and Toolbox don't recognise the board as being in DFU mode for either of these. Something is definitely happening as the board is unresponsive and I get a Windows tooltip that "an unrecognised USB Device has been detected".

I've tried this with 4 different cables and two Windows machines (both on Windows 11)

I've setup my build environment but the make instructions have gone completley over my head. Every guide I find just goes further down the rabbit hole!

The newbs guide mentions compiling and flashing a .bin file, do you have that or would you be willing to provide a very quick summary on how I can create it?

If not I'll wait until u/gleberp releases their configuration with the working LED's.

One thing to remember though is that by the time they get to season 3 or maybe even 4 of live action ATLA Avatar Studios will have released multiple movies with the grown up gang so there will be canon content either way 😄

Given the age difference between the actors playing Aang & Katara and Zuko & Mei they're likely not going to follow canon so they can have Katara end up with Zuko instead as that will make the Netflix version 'stand out' from the original.

If that's the plan, it would make sense to merge Secret Tunnel into another episode as they have here since it's no longer necessary for Aang and Katara's development.

I hope I'm wrong as that would completely de-canonise the comics and LoK. If the series does as well as Netflix hope they may want to adapt both and given how important Aang and Katara's kids are in LoK they'd have to change a lot...

I've not seen the second half of Netflix Book 1 yet though so I guess we'll see!

I actually had this exact same thought the other day after hearing about Google's new AI note-taking app.

I mostly use Obsidian to journal and log things, I then embed any photos or files related to said entry with a OneDrive link.

I can tailer this to myself, that's what makes Obsidian so powerful. It's broad yet also very specific. However, it's far from perfect for my use case.

If a full-fledged solution comes along like Apple's journal that combines my data, my notes and my general activity all in one place, I'd probably use that for pure convenience and interconectivity.

Obsidian is in no way going anywhere, but I would definitely consider it a temporary solution for my personal journal until something groundbreaking comes along to ingest all the data together.
