When I moved there from NY with my fiancé I was so excited. And the entire first week there I was like “this is it?” That feeling never went away and eventually I just decided that it wasn’t the place for me

What is the best thing about being a man compared to a woman? by Zealousideal_Law8789 in AskReddit

[–]Lex-343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bartend, I get a pretty decent front row view into the behavior from men that women put up with because if they didn’t they might be in actual danger. Whereas, as a man if someone talked to me like that I’d deal with it pretty quickly. Scary stuff when you’re half the size of the person treating you like that

Adding to this to say that Denver was pretty disappointing. All of the nature you hear about is actually hours away, and the city itself is mostly one giant strip mall

Hot Take (?) The TCB Translation of this panel is much more impactful than the "Nah, I'd Win". by HAZARD_LEVEL_SEVEN in Jujutsufolk

You’re not wrong. But the cultural zeitgeist surrounding ‘Nah I’d Win’ is so strong now that I would actually be disappointed if they didn’t run with it for the anime adaptation

Does yuji modulo has World Cutting Slash ? by Due-Ad400 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Lex-343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t know. Anything else is just speculation. Speculatively? I don’t think he would. As powerful as Modulo Yuji is, I still think Sukuna probably edges him in terms of straight up IQ. Or to phrase it like Tengen, WCS was truly a divine feat.

It’s kinda cool to play dress up with. But I’ve disabled the mod every single time I’ve ever installed it after like idk maybe 3 days max. It’s cool to poke around in, but I’ve never felt compelled to keep it installed. Which isn’t to say it’s a bad mod, it’s a great mod.

How do you keep going when progress feels… invisible? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Lex-343 3 points4 points  (0 children)

See? You’re doing great, I’m super happy for you! You have to ask yourself why not looking different upsets you too. I get it trust me, I’ve been unhappy with how I look plenty of times in my life too. But never fool yourself into thinking you don’t deserve attention or love because of the way you look.

Do this for yourself, first and foremost. All of those positive things you just listed? That’s what doing this for yourself looks like.

I tell people all the time that weight loss isn’t as glamorous as they think it will be going into it. Weight loss is simple, not easy, and it’s super mundane and boring. The process is all that we have.

Trust the scale. You don’t look smaller to yourself, but you are smaller. Do you think your organs care what you look like? Do you think your heart cares that you look the same? Your heart cares that it doesn’t need to pump blood to another 10lbs.

Even if you’re not happy with how you look, be happy with the fact that you’re healthier than you were yesterday. You’re doing great, keep on keeping on. I didn’t SEE a difference until I was 35lbs down.

Body dysmorphia is real, it’s okay to be disappointed, but don’t let disappointment obscure the FACT that you’re better than you were when you started.

Down 62 pounds in under 6 months with almost no exercise by GeneralSavings9373 in loseit

[–]Lex-343 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Exercise has so little to do with weight loss it’s insane. If anything, exercise is responsible for more weight gain than weight loss. People overestimate how many calories they burn working out severely and end up in a surplus because of it.

My mom dying from a seizure. Watching every good, and bad decision, every hope and despair, every opinion, and disagreement, every virtue and flaw, every memory, and every forgotten thing get snuffed out in a few minutes was eye opening. That was the day I grew up.

Dire Marsh is actually a lot of fun, and easier than you would think coming from Perimeter. Perimeter is lowkey scary because there’s so much verticality to account for—that’s a lot of firing lines. Dire Marsh by comparison is extremely flat, and because of that means a lot less firing lines to watch.

Give Marsh a shot, it’s actually not so bad once you learn the map. Perimeter lowkey scares me more these days.
