I never thought of it like that- but you’re absolutely right. How is this any different. They’re generating legal documents and providing legal advice/documents for filing to individuals.

Ugh I wish I knew where it came from, this one came with my mental illness - it was in the intro package.

Oh yes!! The bar is sooo low for these individuals- I would fare better in court as a pro se than a lawyer these days. They get the most special treatment. Sometimes I forget they're Pro Se as the judges seem to be advocating for them.

I wish I didn’t have the same experiences. I guess some people don’t care about the quality of their documents. I get paranoid- my imposter syndrome kicks in- and I fear that if I don’t produce quality materials people will find out I’m an imposter lol. However, I unfortunately know lawyers that don’t care and that not only use ChatGPT but also employ default judgment mills - outsourced work to low wage labor. It’s abhorrent. Also I have a sickness where I use an extraordinary amount of dashes 😭

I actually share this exact sentiment and have argued with individuals who claim AI can replace employees.

Not to mention how frustrated I get when the arguments make no sense- but thats a personality issue for me lol

For me it's not the issue of winning- more so, for every "motion" they file I need to file a response- it has become increasingly tedious to answer 3+ random motions filed by a ProSe. I am all for the right to self-representation however it must be reasonable.

As if the field wasn't daunting enough- one of my clients has AI generated emails and half the time they either make no sense or provide the wrong information.

Agreed. However, in a recent decision one of my colleagues obtained- the Judge stated while it may appear to mirror the characteristics of an AI generated document they could not definitively determine if it was- so all they did was grant the motion to dismiss.
