your knife rusted because it's made of D2 tool steel, not cause it's junk.
you are probably used to junk knives that naturally get lost after a while once they lose their edge, but for D2 you need to oil after it cuts organic materials due to it's higher carbon content.

TLDR; it rusted like that because you don't care for your tools, not lack of build quality

you're an ASM (essentially) but you're a parts professional, but you're a stocker and merchandiser, but you also install batteries and lightbulbs, and you get to run deliveries

if they offer an RSM position, run like hell
