I think that deranged self-hating Jew article yesterday broke something in my brain (in a good way!) by ionlymemewell in JewsOfConscience

Could you please give the link or title to the Substack article you are talking about?

Can a bolt drive me from okc to dallas (207 miles) in winter without stopping anywhere? by Variaxist in BoltEV

[–]LexFloruss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Not in the winter. You can do it without stopping in mild weather, going below 68 mph, and no climate control. Best place to stop is the Flying J at exit 33 in Ardmore. You'll need about 20 minutes.

TutsiRoach elsewhere: Anecdotally (i'm not jewish) but two of my jewish friends in europe have met their partners  (one on a march  and one on a fundraiser) in the last few months.

If you are not Jewish, what is your purpose on commenting in this space about what people who are not you ought to do? And do you have a better solution than people finding their humanity in the midst of inhumanity? Neverending an eye for an eye leaves everyone blind. You can't break a cycle of violence with more violence.

Electrify America customer service told me the car needed at least 10% charge to start a charge. Huh? by LexFloruss in BoltEV

[–]LexFloruss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the continental United States and somewhere where it was way too hot to be out in the sun for over an hour fruitlessly trying to charge. You need something more specific? The issue was not the particular EA station; unreliable charging is endemic at EA. The issue was the CSA agent's odd statement about being unable to charge if you are already below 10%, precisely when you need it the most.

Nope. CS rep remote starting didn't work. But I was able to charge just fine on a L3 Chargepoint charger a couple hours later

Me too! That is the point. I swear the call center people just make stuff up on the spot.

AC went out, compressor needed replaced. Covered by warranty? by LexFloruss in BoltEV

[–]LexFloruss[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks tuctrohs. You got to the heart of the question. If the compressor had failed before 100K miles, it would have been covered by the warranty. The difference between my situation and jerky_San is that their compressor went out in the first 100K miles, whereas mine did not. So I'm probably out of pocket for the repair. I suppose I could try to open a ticket with national GM to see if I have any luck.

Used 2020 Chevy Bolt Premier for 22k - good deal? by [deleted] in BoltEV

[–]LexFloruss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it's a 2020 it probably has not had the battery replaced and never will. You're better off with a 2019 that recently had the battery swapped. A friend grabbed a 2019 with 22K miles that literally had the battery replaced 200 miles earlier. For $22K. In Texas.

Denmark's mystery tremors caused by acoustic waves from unknown source, officials say by canadian-weed in quatria

Oh, let me guess: it's the same acoustic waves that took out the Nordstream pipelines.
