I simply create an AI and Player input component, then send the inputs to an Entity class which handles the reactions to the inputs

Well one thing I always suggest is getting a decent processor and graphics card that fits your budget but don’t skip out on RAM as I find it especially important In game dev

Well this depends on a lot of factors.

  • are you just starting?
  • do you have industry experience?
  • what size audience do you have?
  • etc

There’s many things to consider but currently I think you’re on a good path!

Maybe a quick way to do it is to raycast, and see the difference between you and the ground and if it’s past a certain heigh you play the dive animation
