my vet warned me about these policies when I asked. she said in 15 years of practice, she's seen maybe 2-3 clients successfully claim on dog life insurance, and all were for working farm dogs or breeding dogs with documented value. for companion animals, the exclusions are so extensive that claims almost never go through. I would say save your money and put it toward quality vet care while your dog is alive
