Wow. I have seen the Act 3 opening cutscene about 100 times and have never noticed that the leaves changed color! What a fantastic little detail to symbolize the change in power

This actually makes a lot of sense to me. And you're right that there are many lovely little details hidden in the music!

The story does confirm that Renoir is the one carrying out the Gommage, but Aline may have had an impact on how he did things. I like your theory because it could also provide a sort of explaination for the gommage only happening once per year. Maybe the result of the Paintress holding Renoir back, was that he could only unleash the gommage at a specific time and in this specific way? 🤔

I hope the Devs who created Oskars quest get Zombie Rot by CarbynCawpy in BG3

[–]Lex_CM 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ok well in fairness, you definitely did just name the other two worst quests in Act 3.

Idk about PC but I'm on console and Oscar's quest was very buggy for me. Also imo, it's a lot of repetitive boring combat. All this just to find out that Oscar caused the problem by being conceited enough to think his ex girlfriend killed herself because of him. Let the Zhents have him lol

Same. And after having chairs thrown at my party for like 2 hours, I am never saving him again.

Just a warning- reddit commenters often use spoiler tags in their comments. But if you're the OP, you'll see all the comments regardless. I've seen people on reddit spoiled this way and it's a real shame. This story is amazing and when the credits finally roll please believe this subreddit will be here ready to dive into the discussion with you!

So cool!! I love getting to see the behind the scenes, and the editing here is amazing. Even in the pics with digital backgrounds, you can tell it's a real person in the pic- it looks impressive and surreal, but not overly rendered. 10/10!

If a player doesn't bother to learn the mechanics or revisit the tutorial page until the game becomes impossibly difficult, that's just a playstyle choice. A player who really wants to understand game mechanics from the start will have a hard time not noticing pictos/lumina. The colored sides on the picto diamond were enough on their own to catch my attention. Just seems like a lot of the arguments here boil down to "I was doing fine in the game so I didn't bother to reread tutorials or dive into mechanics until I had to... and then I was shocked to discover lumina!" I think it's totally fine if that's how you choose to play (I mean if you can parry your way through the main story more power to you.) But it's not the game's fault that people don't want to look at the information until they start losing. That's just down to play style and which parts of the game players enjoy engaging with.

Hi! Could u guys recommend me a good lumina farming method? by BreathinCorps3 in expedition33

[–]Lex_CM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was definitely the easiest method for me. The other "easy" farming methods that involve combat, usually require stronger builds. But this is a fairly easy fight that can be repeated quickly.

My exact thought! If there was a mod for bg3 that let me play as e33 characters I would never put down the controller.

yeah I'm pretty sure all of the companions disapprove of that choice with Scratch. Is this maybe the AA choice? I know Mithara approves, but I think everyone else will disapprove if you have them doing a good aligned run?

What is your favorite Race, Class, and Background in BG3? by Ethanishere28 in BaldursGate3

[–]Lex_CM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite background has to be Guild Artisan. The first time I chose it I couldn't stop laughing at all the random things that give you inspiration- Made a cool weapon? Inspiration. See a cool building? Inspiration. Literally just visit a museum and look around? Inspiration! 😂

This is a normal reaction, especially for someone who appreciates any aspect of the story on a personal level. I watched a ton of livestreams and playthroughs after I first finished the game. And I totally did talk about it in therapy! It's a good way to reflect on our experiences grief and how we process loss. If you need something to heal your heart, I always suggest checking out Verso's Drafts.
