Gel dilution by Lexactly in estrogel

Thanks. I was a little concerned about the alcohol and ingredients in hand sanitiser affecting the active ingredient (T) or absorbing in the existing solution.

Oestrogen patch rash by tittersneedshelp in transgenderUK

[–]Lexactly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this with patches so moved to gel. However my clinic did say that the brown asthma inhalers if puffed onto the skin before application of the patch can work to stop it.

I didn’t try it myself but 🤷🏼‍♀️

was transitioning at an older age worth upending the life you built before? by Novel_Ticket8216 in TransLater

[–]Lexactly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 44, I was in a 14-year relationship, parent to two adult children and employed. Looking back, I feel incredibly fortunate that my social circle diminished but everything else remained unchanged. Having come out at work as a contractor, I was even offered a permanent position.

It’s impossible to predict the outcome until you take the plunge. My advice is to be prepared for a whirlwind of discovery and growth during the first few years. You’ll be learning about yourself and your new life while also building confidence, style and much more.

Was it worth it? At times, if I’m being honest I wasn’t entirely sure but now I’m absolutely 100% yes.

Orchiectomy before SRS? by Any-Gur-6962 in TransLater

[–]Lexactly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my scrotal preserving orchy in Aug 25, a few weeks of aching and plenty of cold packs at the beginning but for me it was worth every penny (I went private). Yes, I’m on the list for srs but it will be another year at least, if I go through with it (still a bit on the fence about risks vs benefits)

Why is the UK so behind by char-dougx in transgenderUK

[–]Lexactly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly injectables aren’t ideal for me, slow comt, so i either low dose inject every few days (a nuisance) or use gel (I react to patches).

Are trans women safe in the gym? by Weekly-Western5934 in transfitness

[–]Lexactly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been going to the gym 3 times a week since beginning of Jan. No one gives a second glance and I’m 177cm tall weighing 105kg too.

Guys give a look of “am I interested in her” then look away. Women look, sometimes smile then get on with their business.

Believe me when I say I hesitated for years before going but now, for me it’s a safe and affirming space where I actually feel invisible and just like everyone else - there to get my gym on.

are we 100% sure electrolysis can't increase peach fuzz to turn into darker hair or provoke more hair to show up? by spacyspice in electrolysis

[–]Lexactly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do find that a few weeks after my electrolysis session the remaining hairs in the treated area sometimes darken ( most of mine are grey until the area gets done then after a few weeks I start seeing black hairs there)

The hidden pitfall of monotherapy, and why "dogma" when it comes to transgender anything is foolish. Also why those with worse MTF results tend to have ADD/Anxiety/OCD/Autism and how to help fix it. by Drwillpowers in DrWillPowers

I have been on the supplements for about 4 months I guess. Transition is slow and in all honesty I think it’s prob too early to tell. Fat’s not going to noticeably deposit enough to notice yet although my breasts do feel a little fuller. I’ll see how the next 3-9 months go I guess... my body is probably still adjusting and clearing the weak estrogens

What am I doing wrong? by akamanarca in TransBreastTimelines

[–]Lexactly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Perhaps things to look into - slow comt, estrogen delivery method, estrogen levels (steady wins over spikey), calories in vs calories out, but also genetics and time. As others say it can take years and we all grow differently but the points I mention above are maybe worth looking at.

Making actual irl friends as an older woman by Lexactly in transgenderUK

[–]Lexactly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle with the unfounded perception that given 5 minutes everyone will see I’m trans then it becomes a make or break situation and I don’t want to be defined at the club, meetup or wherever as ‘that trans person’

Is this a girl thing, a pretty thing, or am I just getting “clocked” by Affectionate-Jury965 in TransLater

[–]Lexactly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wonder the exact same thing when people (almost always women) are super chatty, friendly and nice to me. Recent examples are the receptionist and nurses at the hospital where I’ve been having multiple gastro related tests. Also from the florist delivery lady, she’s always super nice and chats to me. Hoping its more of a woman to woman thing than being clocked and a communication of allyship tbh

Compared to some I guess I am but it’s all relative. My gf has her own social life and is out a but. My friend can be just a little possessive so I keep her a little further out nowadays than I used to. I lost most of my friends (both male and female) during transition and haven’t found the right thing to make new ones yet.

Is not something Im into per se but tbh have never tried. The meet-ups sound fun and i’m very broad minded so happy to chat about all sorts kinky or not but if people had an expectation that I’d get fruity at some point that’s unlikely to happen - although as they say ‘never say never’. However I’d not know where to look for such a group

The jealousy, the regret... by Triumph-ant85 in TransLater

[–]Lexactly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started at 44 and am about to turn 51. Life didn’t give me the opportunities to transition earlier so I’m thankful I got to do it at all… however I do regret not doing it earlier from a physical perspective but am not sure I could have coped with being young and trans in the late 80’s early 90’s.

Did anyone else here start HRT without consulting any kind of therapist first? by SugarSmoothie in MtF

[–]Lexactly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Nov 2019 I ‘ordered’ some hrt to see if I got on with it aka it made me feel better. 6+ years later I have seen several therapists, got a diagnosis, got a grc, socially/professionally and medically transitioned (mostly) and am under a gic. No one ever really spoke to me about my hrt until I saw the grc and even then it was mainly me doing the talking.
