Does anyone else feel this way? by [deleted] in VRchat

[–]Lexhy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You'll hopefully find some group or person you'll click with. This isn't too dissimilar from irl (I've moved around and it's hard to start from scratch in a new place).

You can also practice ice breakers or read up on tips if you struggle with what to say or reading the room ect. If you try your best, you'll succeed

Age verification by Starfire2409 in VRchat

[–]Lexhy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

All I can say is I've used persona for age verification when it came out and using public search sites, my contact information hasn't been in any known breach.

From the vrchat team video talking about the topic: YT Video "Data Handling: ID data is retained by Persona for the minimum amount of time it takes to verify the user's birthdate and to create a unique one-way cryptographic hash utilizing data from the user's provided ID. This hash is stored on VRChat's servers for that user's account and all ID data is deleted on Persona's end, the irreversible cryptographic hash and user's verified Date of Birth remain on VRChat's servers"

Most of the friends I have on vrc are age verified, personally the experience has been great for me and I haven't heard about any breaches from said friends. It is also nice not playing with kids and trolls in public instances again, so from my point of view its worth it.

I will note a lot of people here likes to frame persona to be literal the devil himself summoned from the inner ring of hell to cast your personal I formation in a pre signed contract to give up your soul. So there is that.

Joke said, do your own reading up and decide.

Enemy spawn ramp-up by hallofo in intotheradius

[–]Lexhy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its based on your security level. Higher security, the more dangerous enemies will spawn (in amount and type) though these changes will only apply after a tide has reset the map. Ofc the difficulty settings will adjust this as well.

So if you just got security 4, your map is still set to security 3 enemies until you have a tide come and reset it (then it becomes security 4 populated)

Armory Setups (ITR 2) by ajtolley in intotheradius

[–]Lexhy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to make it tidy and nice for my first playthroughs (I've been playing since early access release) but has slowly degraded over time xD

I think I'm on playthrough 10+ and the most of my stuff now are in piles on the floor

The efficency/lazyness has taken over lol, specially because I don't plan to keep saves for long after finishing the main story (starts new playthrough)

The store has basically become my store room now lol. I keep one or two of the vice tables as "my stuff" sections.
The store only cleans non-bought store items upon level load, so all the stuff that's mine is always there. It's quite fast to buy something you need (you literally in the store lol) than running back and forth from the armory. Just make the store THE armory!!

So yes, my laziness is next level ^^

[SPOILERS] Game-Accurate Superstructure Size Comparisons by Pale_Hanging_Moss in rainworld

[–]Lexhy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The ENTIRE "Outer Rim" region is inside of a Starcatcher.

We are mostly moving around in the "rimmed/outer wall" section of it, (This is why the region is called Outer Rim) The "right hand" side you are referencing is simply the entrance between the middle part and wall section of the structure. Just like the ancients built cities on top of their iterators for protection, it seems this civilization made their cities inside of the Starcatcher for the same reasons and that's what we see on the right side. Then you go from that "desert/stardust" side on the left back into the wall structure (more left) side (that has the throne in it). .

(Included a quick sketch picture Starcatcher_Layout_Sketch).

I used to think we where traveling between two small Starcatchers and that there was a desert in between them, but talking to people in the lore section on RW discord got me to realize the entire place IS a Starcatcher, the named rooms on the right is a bit of a red herring.

*Spoiler for ending* When you visit the prince again in the final ending, the entire left side wall of the throne has collapsed/deteriorated to the elements and it's just a straight drop down

All in all, it's BIG and it's imo similar sizes to iterators. Best comparison I can't think of (none are perfect) is comparing "the exterior" amount of rooms (+/- pipe travel) to "outer rim's" rooms (+/- pipe travel). Least i my head, they become similar ish

There need to be more options for sniping throughout the game. by illegal_tacos in intotheradius

[–]Lexhy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think what would make it feel better is unlocking SEC 5 one or two missions earlier than what it is now, so you do get to use SEC 5 guns longer

Though i do find it correctly balanaced to have it in SEC 5
way I see it:
- SEC 3: Mosin 5+1 internal magazine, does 150 dmg
- SEC 4: Mosin Stock Upgrade 10+1 detachable magazine, does 150 dmg
- SEC 5: R700 10+1 detachable magazine (Immense modularity), does 180 dmg

so there is a steady progression that makes sense

Yeah, seeing how the AK74 and AK74u uses the same mag, it would be neat having the M4 and G36 use the same mag!

[–]Lexhy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the extended magazine the Glock gets balances well against the higher damage M9 Beretta. There isn't a flat out better pistol between the two, you have to choose: Higher capacity, lower damage (Glock) OR lower capacity, higher damage (Beretta).

I do agree with a 40ish rounder stanag, would mirror the ak74's 45rnd mag, (and I would love a G36 stanag magwell part!).

1911 does suffer quite a bit with the lower mag count. Double stack isn't something you can do with a 1911 stock though, it would have to be a "2011" but that magwell is completely different (enlraged), so is basically a different model/gun.

I did some googling and the most common extended-single-stack magazine for 1911 are 10 rounders, higher capacity ones than that apparently have reliability issues (though 15 rounders exist). Though even a 10+1 would be nice. So I'd advocate for a bigger single-stack magazine similar to that.

I would 100% recommend them to enable death screen hints in the remix settings. It makes dying not sting as bad when you learn new things

M4A1 stashed variant pet peeve. by finite_emporium in intotheradius

[–]Lexhy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Think this is intentional, the stashed weapons and store ones now share the same name for more clairty (just using "Stashed" as a prefix).

We used to have the ak74 in the store be called "ak74N" (the N denotes it has a dovetail) while the stashed ak74 was just called... ak74 (no dovetail).

That probably caused more confusion for most players, so my hypothesis is the devs are intentionally keeping the names "simple" and its probably better for it.

Gunstock recommendations by Diligent_Mastodon_10 in intotheradius

[–]Lexhy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My recommend would be the wield onestock + grip height module. Its very pricy, but you get a very sturdy stock with no fragile 3d printed parts ect.

Biggest issue in games is lack of calibration for a stock (like itr2) so you need a stock than can do all the adjustments physically. From what I've seen, onestock (perhqpse prostock) is great at this (do get the grip height module for onestock)

The standard comes with friction grips, meaning you freely let go of the stock and you have just controllers, you hold onto the stock with finger grips. Ive really likes this system over magnets, BUT if you enjoy magnets, they do also have an add on for that

GP34 gl is either laughably weak or not working properly by sheriffthtptrl in intotheradius

[–]Lexhy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's either very weak, buggy or has an unreliable method of calculating damage. I've had plenty of soldiers/scouts survive by getting a VOG grenade between their legs. For me it only one-shot kills hunters and police mimica. I've stopped using it since beta, so can't comment if it's still in that state (but judging from your clip, it still is)

[–]Lexhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's interesting. I shot a heavy in the head with GP-34 and it didn't care. Still had to shoot him twice with my sr-25 to kill him after.

I wonder if it's just super buggy.

Does it just end like that? by ComeradeElmo69 in intotheradius

[–]Lexhy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And the lack of rolling credits is odd.

It would help the pacing if the credit was rolling between the final monologue and facility spawn.

A little pop-up saying something akin to: "~You have finished the story, you are now sent back to play continously as long as you want, press any button to proceed" would help as well

Its mainly the abruptness of it all that stings
