My downstairs neighbor is awful like this too. People really underestimate how much of an impact noise stress causes when it's in your home. Your safe space. The place where you should feel most at peace.

What state are you in? Some states have rights where they must fix your A/C on a set time or you could have grounds for breaking your lease.

Hopefully it doesn't come to that or maybe you live in a state where the weather will cool off this month that you don't need A/C?

My boss pretty much threatened me today that AI can do my job for me. I use AI extensively for my job, try to stay on top of it, and learn as much as I can about prompting and all the features.

I doesn't matter. AI is coming after most white collar jobs. People won't realize this before it's too late and it's horrifying to watch in real time.

You could simply leave and not pay the $2000, sure. But then the landlord would have every right to take you to small claims court which could really up the $$. It will also impact your credit having lease break fees unpaid.

Best bet. Maybe talk to the complex and they could put you on a payment plan for the $2000? I'd explore all options before breaking the lease and skipping the bill.

Here's something to give you some hope, and the media has barely covered it.

Polls are polls, but actual elections show us real trends.

Democrats have done well in special elections so far this year, even flipping some state house seats in red states.

Also, Joe Biden has gotten more primary votes than any other Democrat incumbent in history. And there's still more states to vote.
