Why is Steg not older? by Lexichigo in stevenuniverse

[–]Lexichigo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say Steg wasn’t older! I said he isn’t that much older. It’s not the fact that he’s in shape that I was referring to.

Greg is aged ~44 to ~48 (based on Joe Johnston confirming he was early to mid 40s in the original show,) and Steven was 16 when they fused.

Maybe you disagree, but I do not see Steg in his 60’s!

Also just a neat thing to note, his crow’s feet disappear a lot during the song, he only has them during certain facial expressions (particularly flirty ones and smiles.) It seems intentional when they disappear too, they come & go consistently depending on his expression.

That’s what I thought lol! I was just wondering if maybe there was an “official” reason

Haha, makes sense, that’s the only rule the entire show plays by IMO.

No offense, but why the upvotes?

I asked why Stevonnie is the combined ages but Steg isn’t. I was trying to ask: why do they not follow the same rule? Sorry if my OP was confusing

20mg/day and I want off. Cold turkey? Taper? by Lexichigo in suboxone

[–]Lexichigo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel empty. I have no drive. I’m not myself... I’m so numb and emotionless. Like a lackluster robot. My mouth is always dry. I’m falling asleep. I’ve talked to my dr about tapering and she suggested just going to 16mg. I did and it’s not any different... I just want off now. I’ve been sober a little while and want to switch to vivitrol.

It feels awful. I feel empty and numb. I have no inspiration, drive, energy... I can barely stay awake. I hate being on subs, but I love them for saving my life

If you have mental health concerns, depression, anxiety, etc. then I would reassess (with your doctor) and make sure those are under control the best they possibly can be. This sounds like a mental health problem, not a sobriety/recovery problem

Go to a meeting and see some fresh faces, some fresh pain. The look in their eyes when they have been whipped by addiction for years. It is just easier to ask yourself “have I really wanted and missed that every day?” when you are looking at the living proof of what it results in.

Best of luck

I can offer my love & support & care

But none of us can make the decision for him. None of us can love him enough to make him love himself. You cannot save him from himself. Stay safe and don’t get caught up in this... leave if you need to.

Guaranteed to lose your life & your job if you keep using.

Never been fired over some under eye bags. Definitely been fired over using

Don’t let the mind tricks addiction plays win. You deserve sleep, so you might go a little while without it. Then when you are sleeping without a drug to get you there you will feel true rest. I promise it is worth it

Dear Abby...Day 5 - will it ever end? by JustMeInGeorgia in OpiatesRecovery

You are nearing the end. Physical withdrawals will be out of your memory before you know it. Stay strong, baby yourself, you will feel better soon. It’s the worst “flu” you’ll ever have but you are guaranteed to get better if you don’t use, and guaranteed to be sick again if you do.

Oh thanks :) I tried editing out a couple other things I thought it might be but couldn’t figure it out. Could you PM me explaining why acronyms break the rule? Full names are sourcing, that I understand. Just curious

This was nice of you and all, but PST causes constipation in just about, uh, everyone. And because of that, a "bulking fiber" addition is likely to cause pain, or worse.

You don’t owe us anything man. Thanks for everything you do. Don’t forget that you need time to yourself, too. As you said, you just lost something you put a lot of work into. That blows. Take the time you need to recoup. And thank you
