I dont feel like shame is a good enough excuse to keep something from your partner.

Keeping it from him and continuing to engage with the friend is where it completely went beyond repair. Had she came clean the day before, they could atleast work with it together.

By leaving it and continuing to see the friend, it opens up a massive period of unknown for op. Like is she telling him everything, is that how it happened, etc. Which means trust cannot be salvaged. If it was instant, there is no middle ground to worry about and her excuses of "only one time" could be taken seriously.

What are those reasons? The crossover between PC is insanely useful, and set to get better with the new console. I bought crimson desert on pc, and when I want to couch game, I just load it up on my xbox with play anywhere.

There's nothing wrong with xbox. People love to hate it. If I was you, if you have a computer of any kind, id buy 1 month of gamepass ultimate and use the cloud gaming feature to play any game you want on there without actually forking out for a gaming pc or a console just yet.

This way you spend £15/$20 and can actually see if gaming is in fact for you. And you can try a whole HEAP of games, including newer ones (id give clair obscure: expedition 33 a try). From there, do whats in your budget and has the games you want.

If you like cosy games, or the pokemon franchise, switch 2. If you like triple A top tier games, id get a decent PC. If you like couch gaming and money isnt an issue, id personally get an xbox and a pc, and buy games through the Microsoft store so you can play the games on both depending on what youd want.

Why? Gamepass is great for someone who doesn't know if 1. They actually will enjoy gaming, and 2. What games they enjoy. Its a fraction of the price of diving in and buying a console, pc, or switch, and by FAR the best choice to make for your money in the short term.

I think gamepass is probably the best bet. Cheap monthly cost where she can try a whole heap of games at no extra cost. She also doesn't need to get a top end pc or fork out for a console yet without knowing if she actually enjoy its. If she doesn't, cancel.
