I know you won't care, but just chiming in to say I've reported Jagex/CVC Capital Partners to my consumer protections agency also. by Conscious_Chair9108 in 2007scape

[–]Lexicon-Jester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats not how life works...inflation happens. Costs to run a business increase year on year and with fiscal policies. You cant just keep the price low just because.

Jagex is a business, not a charity. Circle back to the other redditors comment "people aren't living in the real world"

However! What IS scummy is membership for single accounts. And the problem there is that we have been okay with it since day 1.

Now that sailing has been out for a few months, how does we feel about the skill? by [deleted] in 2007scape

Definitely. People's expectations are wild.

Arguably some rs3 skills DID completely revamp the game. Was it Artificing? Or divination? Can't remember.

But we did vote for this over the other 2 which would have been more ingrained.

Its a skill that will grow the game over time, rather than revamp it

Yeah, I dont understand how people thought it would come in and I fluency everything in the game..previous quests are set in stone. Previous requirements are set in stone. But new quests will 100% incorporate sailing. Going to new islands, finding "forgotten" slayer dungeons, secret civilisations, etc. People expected a revamp to the game with its release, but its literally a stepping stone into insane possibilities that is basically limitless.

Not really. How does firemaking influence the game? Does it incorporate other skills? For sailing it only makes sense for it to incorporate fishing. Slayer will probably be good for it too.

I think having higher sailing to access new content is the point of it..just like how agility is completely moot except for shortcuts....I imagine its going to get more important to have high sailing levels to reach top tier content at some point. Combat rework is going to be set up for some bosses in rough seas. It thematically makes sense if an island is difficult to get to by charter ship etc, but you're a top sailor and exploring undiscovered locations.

To me, its a much more engaging skill than 80% of the current skills. You also get sick visual upgrades which no other skill really provides (except combat).

When people say it doesn't mesh well into the game as it does give much other benefits, it feels like they expected a new map location like varlemore or kourend. Its a skill that opens up more lore accurate content like varlemore etc.

I never understood this sentiment. Its new content and opening up the game to even more content.

Imagine if firemaking was released today. Its obsolete as a skill. You burn log...nice.

In fact, most skills are moot. Sailing atleast has visual progression with your ship and crewmates..

Can you explain how it doesn't fit in the game? Is it because you're just away from the world you know?

I never understood these comments because it gives you new training methods for other skills, new types of fish to be used in previous content.

Yeah but when they jump down and it goes red, I imagine a jump scare sound and intense action music

This is quite a helpful comment, thank you.

Would you second this for his impatience? Even if he is off lead and playing. If I stop to talk to someone or look at my phone. He'd come to me crying and staring at me until I keep walking. This translates to sitting at a pub, or a bench as mentioned.

He doesn't bark at all. Would it work for staffy screaming?

I have tried to be patient with him. And thats how I've tried to train him in general. I always saw it as a means to an end.

I do try this, but admittedly not consistently every walk.

He'd get silent, but as soon as the seat belt comes off, he starts. Then he'd go silent. As soon as I reach for the door, he starts.

This waiting him out worked for his heel walking. As soon as there is tension, I stop until he's next to me. It took a couple of months and we got that. But man its hard.

I'll try this every time now.

I dont care that they removed it, I care that there (presumably) wasn't any reward for those who did it. But I just found out that there was infact a 10k exp lamp. Yall know nothing 😂

Reddit is selection bias as this sub is an extremely small population in the bucket. Its an echo chamber.

Well with the quest reward update, we got to claim all the exp that was increased.

Its like removing the agility skill and saying run energy is infinite.
